@razzlystar Have a relative or friend bring the camera. When you go to take your oath of enlistment, they will ask you if there are any friends/relatives that will be joining to witness. Thats when they would come in, and they can take pictures, but I wouldnt recommend you bringing one. Even if you did, it would be locked up in the baggage room and you aren't allowed in there- it's locked!

MEPS was one hell of an experience.....the night in the hotel...well that was fuckin great!!...stayed up and fuckin partied with all these guys....woke up next morning and from 3:30 until about 6:30 I was at MEPS getting everything done to me that you could possibly imagine....they were checking parts of my body that I forgot I had! lol......overall....it was a great experience, even though tiring.....well worth it in the end.....OORAH!

MEPS isn't all that bad. Everything is hurry up and wait. No, the blood draw doesn't hurt you don't even feel the syringe. The most painful one is walking across the floor in your underwear on your knees. I went to San Jose MEPS, we got up at 0400 and was on the bus to MEPS by 0500. The people weren't to bad, except the lady who took finger-prints. Just don't drink a few days before and don't lie, then you'll do ok.

The longest day of my life. Get up at 4:30, have breakfast at the hotel and get to MEPS by 5:30. Line up and go through the metal detectors (when they decide they're ready for you), get your sticker and start getting poked and prodded by all sorts of doctors and specialists... At least at about 11:30ish we were given some Subway. I was one of two females there for recruitment that day and we were lucky enough to have an elderly male doctor watch us in our bra and panties as we duck walked.

About 6 to 7 hours depending. When i was there The Army computer system crashed for a few hours so it took awhile.

MEPS was alright. I was the second person sworn into the USMC on 24JUL2008. Physycally I was in the top 10% of my pool, which made it easy....

...and then the epilepsy showed up. 2 weeks before my shipdate. I'm still dead set on the Corps. I'm thinking of changing my name and trying it again. of course I might go to jail. but hey, if I'm no Marine. then I deserve to be in jail.
