I love Frenchies...so cute...!!! My full size chihuahua snorts like that when i give him certain goodies or big kisses...I call him my little piglette and he snorts even more as if to laugh...

its apple seeds that make dogs sick not the apple. so as long as they dont eat the core they should be fine.

I've been looking into what foods are toxic to dogs and Apples came up on the list. You might want to look into it and ask your vet before you feed your dog another apple.

id be careful with that fruit you feed him, the typical myth of all fruit is good food for anyone or anything is not the case....Grapes, aples, strawberrys can be very harmful to dogs...If your going to feed him fruit I would go ahead with bananas and melon type fruits.

All dogs have health issues. My mom is a Frenchie breeder and has not really seen any major health problems with these dogs. She just gave us a brindle named Norton last year! He is 2 yrs old and is a wonderful dog. I'm hoping soon to upload some videos of him. He is a very finicky eater but that's about the only complaint I have. Oh ya, they FART and SNORE like drunk sailors!

my fav part about frenchies is the way they are so gentle with the people they love. My old dog would very carefully pick up anything i offered from my hands. Then if someone tried to hurt me, he made sure they couldn't!

Its perfectly fine for them to have fruit but make sure they dont eat the seeds. They contain arsenic and can be fatal to dogs.

Please be aware that you can buy from a fantastic breeder and still have health problems. I have two frenchies and all in all their health is fine, last year one of them did have an protruding disc that stopped her from walking steroids helped thank god but get insurance, it can happen just when they are walking.

Thank you for your comment :) This is my second frenchie (the first one died few years ago age 12) and I never had any problems with them. I don't even know which health issues they might have. There is only one thing which may disturb you is that they snore. I would definitely recommend you to get one. Please feel free to ask if you'll have any other questions.

ive had a frenchie for 4 years and no health problem at all ..

just remember to get a walk in the park every once in a while so they dont get fat but dont over exercise cuz they get tired pretty quickly

they are so worth it they will crack u up they are so funny

I wanted to respond to this, just so you know exactly what is involved with the breed. Since you're thinking about their health, it seems you already know about the problems they can have. Frenchies are one of those breeds that can have a lot of serious problems if not bred carefully, or can be happy and healthy all their lives if bred responsibly. Take care in choosing your puppy and you should be fine! I would also be happy to answer any questions you may have!

Leo doesn't have a brething problem, it's just the way they breath. But he always snore when he sleeps. :)
