They way to quickily disarm the runner at 3:12 is do a jumping kick and then you can disarm!

Thats a bloody tricky one. My best advice for that one is to get a little bit of air (jumping a little before the wall) and running it a bit late. That way you don't get caught on....whatever catches you.

By the way, if anyone is having trouble getting up to the vent at 1:31, you have to crouch jump and look down at the oxygen tank to be able to jump on it or you slide off.

Great run indeed! However there is one thing I dislike about most speed run videos on Youtube: players are using a speed boost trick, which allows them to run at full speed all the time (search for "Mirrors Edge - Speed Boost" on YouTube). Although it can be done without any modifications to the game I personally consider it as a game bug, which shouldn't be used in order to achieve reliable time results. This explains also, why Celeste could be outrun in this video.

I do agree with you. I wish it didn't exist in the game, so I wouldn't have to use it. But unfortunately, the trick is a necessity when you go for world records, because too many people use it now. I would rather not use it, but I have to go for the best possible times I can. It can help make up for mistakes in the run, or push someone's time just under the limit for a speedrun so they can finally beat it. I just use the resources the game gives me to use. And I use them to help people.

As I mentioned previously (and many others too) you've made great runs - there is no question about it. I don't blame you for using speed boost as I realize, that there is currently no other option. I just would be happy to see the game free of this bug, because it would make results more comparable. One way or another you've made remarkably good job searching for shortcuts and some movements are really "delicious" to watch. Keep it up!

Well, in real life that move is possible. I don't know if it can be classified as a parkour move or not, but I use it to gain speed very fast. I just turn to one direction and use my turning momentum and the weight of my body to accelerate faster. Useful for cornering and starting just like the game.

Like he said, it's a viable thing you can do. What I don't like in mirror's edge, though, is that crouch-jumping continuously actually makes you go faster. It's essentially bunny hopping, and it makes me sad to see that a game that prides itself on realistic movement has this, whether intentional or not. All they would need to do is if you try to crouch-jump directly after landing another one, you lose momentum.
