carbon fiber is a hell of a lot lighter than aluminum and i hope you dont plan on making fast turns... you gave up so much rigidity to make it convertable
Alot of work went on to do this car but I dont like the end result. Alot of respect for knowinging how to do this kind of work but design needs to be better.
Why the HELL would any sane person take good carbon fiber body panels and put aluminum panels on instead? Some engineers spent a long time trying to make the Z06 light and cheap and you go and weigh it down with some aluminum bullshit. The nerve of some people....
I agree, but there are those who don't really car about how light the car is. Possessed by their money and ego, they're willing to spend a lot of cash and get something a bit more unique.
the C6 Z06 and ZR1 use carbon fiber.....the ZR1 has more carbon fiber on it although the car is still heavier (supercharger) but the only C6 corvettes with fiberglass now are the base coupe/roadster or the grand sport....
nice but a little OTT on the rear lights..... would have been nice if the black plastic looking things was silver.....and an addition of a trail of LED lights that go down to the mid bumper.....hmm just a thought.....
nice work tho. loving the fact that its sheet metal! professional job my friend A****
cool vid man but it just seems like a lot of wasted man hrs to construct a vette that first off isn't much different looking from the way it looked to begin with with the eception of it being a convertible and the extra vents. and I think the hood looks tack with two scoops.
yeah i agree completely. but there will always be people willing to fork out the cash to pay for one. If it was me I'd spend the money on the engine ; )
Yeah not bad. I have to say I find it a bit unnecessary to completely change every one of the cars body panels. Just a convertible conversion would have been nice, and a hell of a lot cheaper.
worst rebuild i have ever seen!!!

@Boyracer5500 I thought that the body panels were plastic or fiberglass.
