  • ooooooooooooooo------k?

  • ive seen the movie, the most confusing part was at the end *SPOILER* when everyone jumped out from their burial spot and came back alive

  • you suck

  • I hate how people fon't know how to translate movies. I spanish it's called: "Sangre, simplemente sangre" wich means: "Blood, simply blood" or sometimes in the movie the title is some way and in the trailers and commercials it's completely different. Like "Easy A" in spanish, Way #1: "Rumores y mentiras" ( It is called "Rumores" y mentira but without the "s" it doesn't make sense.). way #2: "Se dice de mi". See what I'm talking about?

  • Maybe the story ain't new... and that's because the ORIGINAL one is Kurosawa's!

Well, it may be even older yet! But it's worth watching because it's a Zhang Yimou film!

Talvez a historia nao seja nova.. ainda mais pq a ORIGINAL é do Kurosawa!

Bom, talvez seja mais antiga ainda... mas vale ver pq é do Zhang Yimou

  • Ironic how americans sack hero and crouching tiger when the chinese thought it was a bore! I want to enjoy this, bit the director does not hold my attention.

  • If you have any problem your family life call latina busizz4me.info

  • "a ping pong, a ping pong, a ping pong!"

it was an excellent movie by the way.

  • It was weird but in a good way i liked it ^^

  • for some ppl who dont know....watch "blood simple" if u like this movie. this is the remake *korean version* of "blood simple". it's pretty good.

  • @TheGhostOperative korean version? so, it's a korean movie this "blood simple"?

  • @scorpionpark7 lol nah srry...i made a mistake this is chinese. "blood simple" is Coen brothers movie (directors from "No country for old man")

  • Got it backwards...The Birdcage was orignally a french film ......Le Cage.....

  • @lightOrchid1 La Cage aux Folles?

  • @lightOrchid1 Th eFrench film is based on a play of the same name

  • Very interesting parallels to the original.

  • 00:40 ...very good bargaining! Hehe!

  • Does anyone know where I can find English subtitles for this movie?

    thanks

  • is this worth to see ????????

  • @issamosslim well, it's slow....since it' s a remake of cohen brothers movie "blood simple". just like "no country for old man", "burn after reading" and "the big lebowski". if ur an old timer u'll find it interesting. but if ur looking for gun blazing sword slashing action like many young whipper snappers, this is not the one.

  • this trailer is so empty, but i wanna see the movie so bad now

  • Where does the noodle shop come in?

  • @cruz1506 shoug-que?

  • we all do remakes, western cinema constantly remake japanese horrors, chinese remake ours, Vietnamese or arabs remake chinese one

sometimes when studio ppl really run out of ideas bt still need stay employed, remake happen!

  • @DogyKane of course.

Hollywood remade several of akira kurasawa's films.

The Departed was a remake of a chinese film called infernal affairs.

Bollywood did a remake of pride and prejudice.

The Birdcage staring robin williams was a remake of a french film.

So many movies are remakes, and people don't realise it.

If it's not a remake of a foreign movie or an old movie then it's probably going to be the film adaptation of a novel or comic book. Thats just how the film industry works.

  • @shinigami19xx Bride and Prejudice isn't really a remake since it's based on Austen's novel. But good comments :) Totally agree.

  • @shinigami19xx true! most people don't know that the magnificent seven is a re-adaptation of kurosawa's seven samurai.

  • @carlmanu Last man standing, staring Bruce Willis was also a remake of Kurasawa's 'Yojimbo'.

I watched Yojimbo when I was a kid, then I saw Last man standing a few years later. I was so shocked by how similar the 2 movies played out, even down to the same lines in some places.

I heard Hollywood did a remake of The Korean classic: 'My sassy girl'.. thats gonna be bad..

  • @shinigami19xx

now hollywood churns out remake after remake and 99% of them are complete shite! hollywood was good in the 80s and even 90s but now its 99% turd movies.

  • I watched this last night. It was pretty good

  • @JazzyZenBrotha guys pls tell what online site did u watch this movies im interested

  • @maantong143 - I actually watched this film in the theater here in California.

  • Whats the point of remaking a movie from the 1980's? Is it really that difficult to come up with NEW ideas Hollywood??? I means seriously WTF is up with so many dam remakes? It's very weird. It's like all the script writers died or something.

  • @PancakeRecipes Not hollywood genius. This is Chinese cinema paying homage to a modern film that is already a classic. I'd say it's quite a compliment for American cinema to be remade overseas. Since America constantly remakes foreign films because most people in US are too lazy to read subtitles.

  • @ThomasTerebi

Ya I'm familiar with Chinese cinema. I've been watching John Wu since the 80's. I still think its dumb to do remakes, especially American made foreign remakes. I love foreign films watch them all the time. But remakes are still dumb.

  • rofl not to much thought went into the title.

  • House of Flying Daggers was a good movie :] I watched the original one, not the dubbed one. This movie looks pretty good too!

  • is this a joke? like a chinese version of scary movies?

  • @turuu214 No. xDD It's a humour movie. Not scary at all.

  • @Starrii scary movies are not scary movies its funny movies

  • Noodles yay Gun No!

  • This is a Chinese remake of the Coen brothers' "Blood Simple", which was an adaptation of Dashiell Hammett's "Red Harvest".

  • I like noodles!

  • 张艺谋江郎才尽。

  • mmm noodles.

  • I am speechless for this film.

  • amazing looks better than fading of the cries

  • If you're going to remake a great film, you might as well go in a completely different direction with it (i.e. Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant.) I'm looking forward to this one.

  • @TulseLuper Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant was not a remake whatsoever. The "Bad Lietuenant" title was simply added on by the producers.

  • @DaRunningMan I know that's what everybody claims, but considering how many of the plot points match up with the original up until the ending, I don't buy it. You have a lieutenant addicted to coke in debt with loan sharks investigating a horrific crime that goes beyond anything the lead would ever do. I think the producers and screenwriter definitely had a remake in mind even if Herzog didn't.

  • @DaRunningMan If you prefer, you could say it's a "Reimagining" of Bad Lieutenant rather than a remake. Herzog took the basic idea of it and made it something new.

  • Wow, looks really good.
