I really do hope that Mass. doesn't get another lousy Republican governor. But, sometimes, the Dem Politicians in Mass. are just too damn crazy.
What to do?
But, I'm mad at Mass. for spitting on Ted Kennedy's grace by electing a Rep. Senator to his vacant seat. So, they deserve a lousy governor for a while to slap them back into reality.
@polemius01 It's mere speculation, of course, but I think Patrick will win. (Assuming this video doesn't hurt his campaign too much, and it shouldn't. :P ) I suspect the polls might be making the race look closer than it actually is because his votes are splintered by Cahill, but people often say they support an independent in surveys, only to give in and vote for "someone who can win" on election day, so there's a chance he's safe.
@polemius01 You are crazy if you think the DEMS are so much better, Ted Kennedy should hav ebeen in jail for, well lets see all the charges....Murder, leaving a scene of a crime, drunk driving god only knows how many times, lying to the american people and treason for his colusion with our enemies. He was a bigger crook than his father....Please do not idlize a man that has basically corrupted an entire country
@wth978 Perhaps you have the expertise in psychology to assess my sanity, but your use of the word "crazy" makes me doubt that.
The entirety of your comments about Sen. Kennedy concerns unsavory aspects of his personal life. If idle gossip and conjecture are your thing, then, fine, assassinate character as much as you wish.
I, on the other hand, was writing about his legislative life.
You probably have nothing pertinent to say about that, do you?
@polemius01 The use of crazy was more for effect than a assesment, unlike many people in this country I beleive everyone has the right to thier own opinion. I grew up in mass and lived in mass most of my life. His personal life and legislative life go hand and hand, he was a drunk, womanizer and an extremely dishonest person. Thier is no gossip or conjucture on my part, it is all true... Now for legislative history, please give details, everyone says that but most of it was a disaster..
@wth978 1. Ah yes, the usual right-wing nonsense about Free Speech being "uncontested speech." yes, you have a right to your opinions, no matter how idiotic, but, if you vomit them out in public, then others have the right to correct you.
W is clear proof that personal and public do not go hand-in-hand. he claims personal Christianity, yet he lied to begin a pointless war for his own, sick purposes.
@wth978 2. Let's go back to your original charges:murder, leaving the scene of a crime, drunk driving, lying to the American people, treason, collusion with our enemies, bigger crook than his father.
A copious list you've got there. Here;s the deal: You give me authenticated legally admissible proof of your claims (which you made first), and then I'll give the proof of Kennedy's legislative record.
Otherwise, just admit you're blowing the stinky smoke of hatred (metaphor used for effect).
@polemius01 Ok lets start with Chappaquiddick: If any buddy but Kennedy did this what would have happened? Check out Chappaquiddick incident in Wikipedia...does not appear that it will allow me to post the link here...
@wth978 Does the Chappaquiddick incident address your charge or murder, leaving the scene of a crime, drunk driving, lying to the American people, collusion with our enemies, or being a bigger crook than his father?
Or, does it address all six charges? You're not very good at this, are you?
@polemius01 you can thank me for "spitting on ted kennedys grave". tell me, why do you think we did such a thing? we have the right to vote for whoever we want, and we chose to vote for scott brown. you don't like it? don't come to our fuckin state.
@gocolts1490 No one said that you did not have the right to vote stupidly; stop putting words into people's mouths.
To answer your question as to "why" you did such a thing, well, hatred of the President (you know why) can make people vote against their best interests, which is the definition of voting for a Republican.
You're not an informed American; you can't keep out of one of the States if s/he is already in another. Proof that your voting for the Republican was a result of ignorance.
@polemius01 um it has nothing to do with "ignorance". i voted republican because martha coakley is the same damn liberal who wants to take my guns away, raise my taxes, give gays and criminals more rights than me, just to name a few. i've had enough of the liberal democrat bullshit. what in fucks name makes me "ignorant"?
@gocolts1490 Well, here we are, far beyond "ignorant." Let's do a reality check, shall we?:
1. To say that a politician "wants to take my guns away? is pure nonsense. Having gun control measures in place is only common sense; do you really want criminals to have easy access to firearms?
And, really, publicly declaring your need of having a long, hard dangerous thing in your pocket is only a way to announce your "inadequacies" to the whole world.
@gocolts1490 2. The uncritical charge that a politician "wants to raise taxes" indicates a lack of awareness of what taxes are for. Is she just a free-floating "tax raiser," or are there initiatives that might require a tax increase? You're not being clear.
3. First you're angry at her for wanting to protect the public from gun violance, then you say she wants to "give criminals more rights." Criminals cannot be "given" more rights; their rights are as established already by law.
@polemius01 i do not support giving easy access to guns to criminals. the man i voted for supports gun rights for law abiding citizens. plus, how has gun control been in any way effective? how did chicagos gun ban work out? tell me. when you have gun bans n shit in place, the only people with guns are the criminals and we're unarmed because we choose to follow the law. and the woman i was against is a free floating tax raiser and shes a socialist liberal.
@gocolts1490 Pt 1: Circular reasoning (if what you write has any rational content at all). According to you, criminals own guns because they're available. Therefore, citizens must guns because criminals have them. The "thinking" follows, "So, if everyone has a gun, then everyone can protect him/herself.
Logically, one cannot prove the effectiveness of a "ban," so your comment about Chicago is ridiculous.
@polemius01 yeah we need guns to protect ourselves and we have a constitutional right to them, just like how we also have freedom of speech and several others.
and did i say i was a teabagger? no i did not, and don't assume that i am. as far as calling me a homophobe, i don't give a damn about gay people and what they do. i'm just pissed at the government trying to run our lives. well i don't need no government to hold my hand i can do my own shit on my own.
@gocolts1490 The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution neither guarantees nor prohibits private ownership of a gun. I guess the Founders knew that some guys would have "inadequacy" issues and need a gun to help with them.
Kindly learn to read. No one called you a teabagger. You used teabagger language. That sent me on a reverie of their hate-agenda.
The government is not trying to run your life. To continue to claim so is a symptom of paranoia
@polemius01 you make me sick. go smoke some fuckin weed or inject some heroin, whatever it is you liberal hippie pussies do. i'll be out shootin ducks with my 12 gauge shotgun. you wanna know how i feel about gun control and the second amendment bitch? break into my house and you'll find out.
@gocolts1490 Typical right-wing response to superior arguments: abuse and threats of violence.
If shooting ducks helps you to compensate for your unfortunate "inadequacy," then I suppose you feel justified in killing them.
You poor thing.
PS: I've never smoked pot, and the closest to heroine I've gotten is prescribed codeine. Sorry to disappoint you, but I get high on life and Leftiness.
@gocolts1490 Just more of the same over-emotional, anti-intellectual nonsense. "Guns" (despite the pathetic exposing of gocolts1490's sexual inadequacies), "money" (do you "keep" it when you spend it on your penis substitutes?) and "freedom" are all empty code-words for right-wing hate-mongering.
Unless you have something substantive to say, I will assume that you're childishly demanding the last word and ignore your postings from now on.
@gocolts1490 Pt 2: Your repetition that politicians raise taxes for no reason only serves to highlight its absurdity.
"Socialist Liberal" is teabagger language. Ah, teabaggers, those racist, hate-mongering, homophobic, small-government-unless-something-I-want-needs-big-government hypocrites, whose anger has been manufactured by the psychotic Beck and Fox News.
Your every post just marks you more-and-more as an emotional knee-jerk reactionary with no sense of logic whatsoever.
@gocolts1490 4. You really have been helpful. Not only have you proven my point about your ignorance, but, in addition, you've declared your "inadequacies" and an abysmal lack of intelligence to boot.
@bigh124 You teabaggers are ridiculous with your "murder." Why don't you just show me the indictment for murder? Don't worry, I can wait. Oh no, no need to wait: THERE WAS NO INDICTMENT FOR MURDER!
Chappaquiddick was an ACCIDENT!
Kennedy pleaded GUILTY to leaving the scene.
Teabaggers, so insecure and hate-filled that they have to lie Lie LIE!
Well maybe she could of survived if old Ted called the police and an ambulance instead of going home to pass out then calling the police in the morning. He must of been drunk or on some pills like his son Patrick Kennedy. When he crashed into a jersey barrier and told the police he was late for a vote at congress lol.

@wth978 Seeing that you will not answer my query about Sen. Kennedy, I will do so for you.
After the incident at Chappaquiddick, the then Mr. Kennedy pleaded guilty to "leaving the scene of an accident after causing injury."
Now, let's see; which of your charges applies to the Chappaquiddick plea?
Surprise! None of them.
Typical Republican/Fox News strategy: shout outrageous things loud enough and people will think you're correct.

P. Kennedy has also admitted to drug problems.
Well, look here, it works both ways:
1. Laura Bush killed her boyfriend, but never was prosecuted.
2. W used his family influence to get a drug arrest covered-up and dismissed.
3. W used his family influence to avoid prosecution for being AWOL from the National Guard during wartime.
4. Daddy Bush's mistress was "disappeared."
