I have a week to learn this song if I am to accompany it next week at church. This recording goes very well with the sheet music we use, so thanks. Meanwhile, I don't understand why people are using the comments page to discuss other challenges facing the church. This should be all about a song of praise to God, not about excommunication or homosexuality.
@emmers372 My God that comment sounds so hate filled... You know that thing people say about if you don't have anything nice to say? You should do that... Also the slideshow contains pictures of the saints and Jesus Himself, although you probably believe that they're excommunicated from your church as well. (Probably all flaming communist liberals...)
We must be compassionate and welcoming towards people with a homosexual inclination, but we must never ever condone that lifestyle. It is gravely sinful.
I was taken aback bu the photo of the man in the priest collar who was sh9wn frenching out with another man, Have the churches changed to a non-"hate" view of gays?
I find that it depends where you go. Most churches I have gone to just silently tolerate it. I've seen others strongly speak against them.
I've been to one where they do condemn homosexuality as a sin but maintain that it is no greater or lesser than any other sin. And with that, they should not be persecuted or judged--refer to "Let he who has no sin cast the first stone" kind of deal.
But yeah...they're different wherever you go. Maybe it's a sign of change....
@arvetis No real Christian church hates "Gays" or non "Gays" for that matter! But no real Christian church hates Almighty God either by violating His holy will and commandments by endorsing practices contrary to His clearly revealed Word. We are all included in the "Whosoever" of :John 3:16. Repentant sinners are called upon to turn from sinful practices and walk in a newness of life in purity before our Lord and not to endorse what our Lord clearly condemns in His revealed Word .

Wow...a slideshow of a bunch of excommunicated people. This is possibly one of the most disgusting songs. ever.

this is anything but Catholic...
all are welcome if people repent and convert to the true Church of Christ built upon St. Peter.
Unam, Sanctam, Catolicam, et Apostolicam Ecclesiam!

@purpleandgoldfever That would be the Eastern Orthodox Church, which Rome left. BUT Rome is welcome, as well.

Bad music.
And, well, that's NOT Christianity, folks. Sorry.

Let us build a house where Truth can dwell
Where Christ is truly praised
A place where words are more than talk
Where the Word is truly raised
Built of faith and love and worship
Bringing honour to His throne
Here the Lamb of God will break sin's power
All the Glory, All the Glory, All the Glory
To Your Name!
NathanLPaylor 2 years ago
Let us build a house where we recall,
The Cross on Calvary,
Where the Son of God became our sin
Broke our chains and set us free
Here we preach of Christ's forgiveness
And the Sacrifice He made
When the Wrath of God was placed upon Him
All the Glory, All the Glory, All the Glory
To Your Name!

(thought i'd offer an evangelical alternative to this song's normal lyrics... :P)

@NathanLPaylor Your lyrics are far more Catholic than this slop.

Many churches do not hate gays, and openly welcome them.
