  • can u do flats?

  • you look like you are skating with ADHD...chill out smoke some weed and carve with some style

  • I used to make the same mistake before, you're flailing your back arm, that's very bad (half the energy that should go to your hips is dissipated by that flailing arm)...

Get a messenger bag and ride with it. At some point you'll have to hold it with the back arm and you'll notice how efficient you'll get (crossing your back arm over your chest and grabbing your shirt right across the middle should put your arm in place as well).

  • @iskalla1 yes...

    ...you still suck.

  • that aint pumping dude

  • I say dervish because its more rounded around but I still love the vanguard. But as I say.... RAYNE HUSTLER FOR THE WIN!

  • how are you pumping like that??

  • your style sucks balls

  • @TheJayco94 no you suck balls jayco.

  • what bushings are you running on your vanguard, i have a flex 2, with randal 180's and O'tang In Heats, standard bushings in the trucks and i can get a little more distance out of it, but the motion is so hard, theres so liveliness in the trucks! feels like im pushing a giant sponge

  • @materm

the yellow stock bushings. i think they are just fine.

  • ahh yes the softer yellow ones, mine were red :S

  • and the same shoes!

  • @LewZer17

i loved those shoes. they are destroyed now!

  • I have that exact same set up

  • yee goofy stance

  • How do you pump ?

  • @Pickledgrapefilms watch the video, copy the movement.

  • I try to loosen my Randal 180s but my nut and truck keeps falling off lol.

  • New bushings...

  • I'll try that out, thanks :)

  • If u want softer trucks :) And harder bushings for harder trucks.

  • Got Venom Supercarves (double-cone). I got wheel bite even with the angled risers I bought and fell off lol. I moved the wheelbase back and inch, and its all fine now on my stand on it and lean test.

  • when i do it i seem to lose speed? i got a sector nine waimea 39.5 complete. is that and alrite board?

  • dumb

  • wait i have a sector 9 Lanikea bamboo seris. i wanted to get a vangourd or dervish. i was wondering when you pump is it like carving tight and going up and down? or what?

  • good start to pumping, but i notice that you're emphasizing the up and down motion a bit too much in relation to the side to side

  • Buying advice plz? I am looking at 2 Orangatang In Heats on my nose and 2 4Prez's on my tail for sliding, good buy?

  • if you've ever ridden a rip-stick pumping is some what like that

  • you do as the name says, you pump to the toeside/heelside edges, but don't lean too much to the side, you just put some pressure quickly.

  • whats your setup man?

  • vanguard flex 3

    randal II 180

    gumballs 78a

  • Do you need to have a very flexible board to pump?

  • no you dont

  • wow you could at least explain how to do it

  • You can't just "explain" how to pump. It's really complex. You basically have to figure it out on your own. Just keep on watching videos of people and then try to replicate it

  • I just got my longboard a couple of days ago and I've been trying to learn how to pump ever since. Do you have any tips? i hear that the type of decks don't matter, but wheels and trucks do.

  • you can pump any board i think, just as long as your trucks are loose. Pumping is basically a gyrating movement from your whole body.

  • hey what flex are you riding? 4? thanks a lot, just got a vanguard so im trying to learn the motions.

  • thats sick dude. how long have you been on a longboard?

  • at the point the video was made, maybe 2 months.

  • caneyou do that with a normal slipstream/ sectornine board?

  • with stock components its probably rather difficult.

  • why? is it becuase the board is not good enough or is it the trucks?

  • its the trucks. i believe any board is pumpable with the right trucks.

  • i have gullwing chargers, wats ur opinon on them when it comes to pumping?

  • they are fine, as long as you dont run them too tight.

  • vanguards are excellent for pumping. i got a pintail and its near impossible to get a good pump

  • vanguards arent that great for pumping actually. pintails should be just as good, or better. trucks also make a huge difference though!

  • are you swedish?

  • german

  • pumping on a longboard is pretty equal to pumping on a waveboard.

when you can pump a waveboard you should be able to pump a longboard.(but there are also many other ways to pump)

  • No, it's not... longboarding you have to transfer your energy using your weight and arms/abs as support to power it. I taught myself a while back, so yeah, ignore the comment down there. But I've tried a waveboard. You can just use your feet and it's a different motion. You'd probabyl get worse at pumping using those.

  • as i said, there are many other ways to pump

but i can pump longest when i'm pumping like on a waveboard. you can also pump by swinging your arms or by using the flex to bounce yourself forward.

  • Nice! Smooth!

  • how did you learn to pump? i'm trying to learn but it's hard

  • randal IIs 180

  • what trucks
