@kraigcassida engine sizes are metric and american the american is Cubic inches the metric is in liters all you have to do is convert 1 cubic inches = 0.016387064 liters so if you have 318cubic inches you have 5.211066 liters which is a 5.2liter v8 . So a 4.7L (1 liters = 61.0237441 cubic inches) is-286cubic inch motor.

When they reffer to an engine 318 360 and so on it is the cubic inches of the engine that it what it means.
