Ok im an advanced beginner and from what ive experienced a minimag or similar cesna models or these warbirds are not good beginner planes because they simply arent stable enough they actually need somebody to fly it. If you fly an easy star/wild hawk or any other clone you will see these planes get into a stable flight shortly after nearly every maneuver.

I have a MiniMag too and it's interesting to see these flying with the same characteristics. I don't think they're actually very good flyers, they seem to drag their tails through banking (no matter how much you play with CG) and they have a rather nasty stall. I expect the Fun Cub would fly better, I don't think I'll be reccomending the MiniMag to anyone. The Easy Star looks great though :-)!

Erstens, der Schwerpunkt is eindeutig zu weit hinten => Akku nach vorn. Zweitens lege etwas Expo auf die Ruder, vor allem auf Quer.

Die Multiplex Minimag, um die es sich hier handelt, lässt sich auch sehr gut bei Wind "lenken".

Aber ich flieg auch lieber Heli. Zwischendrin zum Verschnaufen zwischen dem 3D Training halt mit einer Minimag.

This plane seems badly out of trim. Tail heavy.Also needs down thrust on the motor.

DO NOT THROw IT UP. Straight and level at half throttle. IF it starts to settle to the ground add a LITTLE throttle. Better to do a hand launched landing than a short flight/stall/crash.

Keep adding throttle until it climbs gently. Do GENTLE turns.

If you get dis-oriented, turn your back to the plane and look over your shoulder.

The behavior seen here seem to point to an unbalance (CG) center of gravity. By default, these small "toy" rc planes are "tail heavy" causing them tend to point the nose up during flight and eventually causing an inevitable stall. Just adding small weight to the nose area will make them more stable. Too bad Manufatures don't make this clear to the buyers, who think they are ready to fly out of the box. Just my 2 cents, hopefully I can help someone from destroying their nice flying machines
