It just seems like people like to arrive at a premature conclusion about players like Carmelo and believe in some kind of perception rather than actual facts. Wherever Carmelo goes he will be a huge plus for that team, we're talking about a guy that has the ability to take over games and hit tough shots.
Melo can shift defenses better than almost anyone in the NBA and is the clutchest guy in the league. He is a good outside shooter and can face up and shoot. But he cannot move without the ball and is ball dominant.
Melo is clutch the numbers dont lie. When its all said and done, Melo will have more game winnings than most, including Kobe. Melo, is a winner, pure and simple. One year at Syracuse and got a championship. Doesnt make other players like Lebron, Kobe, Durant, etc any less great. Every player has their strengths. Melo could us some D. But he is the best clutch player. He can post or step out and shoot it in anyone's eye. Kobe and Durant just dont have the size or strength combo that Melo does.

Melo is clutch the numbers dont lie. When its all said and done, Melo will have more game winnings than most, including Kobe. Melo, is a winner, pure and simple. One year at Syracuse and got a championship. Doesnt make other players like Lebron, Kobe, Durant, etc any less great. Every player has their strengths. Melo could us some D. But he is the best clutch player. He can post or step out and shoot it in anyone's eye. Kobe and Durant just dont have the size or strength combo that Melo does.

So far so good. Melo is hitting like 50% of his game tieing or winning shots. Numbers dont lie. He's only 6yrs in, we'll see how he does over the next decade. It will be hard to top Kobe, but like I said....so far so good.

I'd rather take Melo than Kobe any day on taking game winning shots. I don't care if Kobe has 30 winning buzzer beaters, Melo had 10 in one season alone just a few seasons ago. And he continues to do that, in the playoffs (Mavs, ohh Mavs) and in the regular season.

Didn't want to go there but kobe was averaging more than melo before he started having back spams. Not to mention he has a broken index finger on his SHOOTING hand. when melo got hurt he sat for four games and so his ppg didn't go down. but kobe bein the greatest that he is played through it and although he scored 10 and 12 they still won. And they still sittin on the best record Lebron is too damn good not to be 2nd best n the league. Melo doesn't have anything on Kobe or Lebron.

LeBron's a better scorer, rebounder, passer, leader and is definitely a better defender than 'Melo. LeBron was voted 2nd in DPoY voting last year and is the anchor of the Cavs defense. The same cannot be said about 'Melo although his defense has improved.
