@twocentsin6 So many lies from antis. The LDS church absolutely does NOT discourage us from reading the Bible. They actually encourage it. You have not told any of the supposed lies, but you prove that you all lie about us.
I think you need to read the bible and you will find the scriptures that talk about a falling away first, darkness, famine of the words of the Lord, tares, false christs, divisions, fighting among the saints.... all you have to do is crack that bible open and stop using it as an idol.
@twocentsin6 The holy scriptures, the inspired word of God. The bible. I am told by an ex Mormon that the church discourages your members towards reading the bible.
I'm a former Mormon missionary, and I wrote a book defending the Church against anti-Mormon attacks ("The Gainsayers"). Ken Clark was a hypocrite to continue to work for the Church while secretly not believing it. True! However, he did not promise young girls that they and their families would be Exalted "if" they slept with Joseph Smith, as Joseph Smith promised them. He did not have people murdered who got into his way, as DID Brigham Young. Compared to them Ken Clark looks DAMN good! Darrick
This guy lied to the LDS church when he secretly looked for another job for who knows how long before he left. He was lying to keep his job. Also, the Spirit of God does not lie and that is how I know the LDS church is true.
@LDStothecore How do you know it is the spirit of God and not Satan? God tells you how to know like the Bereans in Acts, test what is told you with the Bible and see if it is true. Not heart burn my friend!
@LDStothecore YOu know the LDS Church is true because this guy looked for a job without telling the LDS? Silly thinking! Probably an honest feeling from you!
"Taken out of context", and "Not doctrinal" are two oft-used and over-used steps in The Mormon Truth Shell Game". When the lies of SmYth, Bring'um Young, or other LDS leaders expose the lies & contradictions of Mormonism, the attempts to rebut will often be shrouded in "taken out of context", or "not doctrinal" excuses.
ken Clark never had a testimony. like he said he he's an attention seeking insecure person, and many join the church for the same reasons. Either Joseph was a Prophet or he wasn't. Everything pivots around that. Ive never heard anyone boast about believing William Law. William Law who stole the blankets - yes a reliable witness! I feel sorry for Ken.
Now I know this makes you feel better inside, but what you have done is come here and dismiss Ken so that you won't have to investigate the claims made in the presentation. Your bias is showing, and such prevents you from examining your religion in an objective way. If you have the truth, then you don't need to fear little Ken or the Foundation or anything which detracts from your fantasy, but always remember that extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence.
Would you please give me a documentary source that I can check for William Law stealing blankets so that I can be sure he is not being confused with William McLellin.
When you present the documentation, then your credibility will rise with me. Thanks.
How do you reconcile the fact that your reliable witness, William Law, believed that Joseph Smith had been a true Prophet but had fallen. He believed in the First Vision, the Book of Mormon and the restoration of the Priesthood. A reliable witness indeed!
How do YOU reconcile it? Law witnessing Smith marrying 14 year olds and other men's wives while they were on missions? Multiple contradictory versions of the First Vision? Smith translating with his face-in-a-hat-staring-at-a-rock while gold plates were in the woods? No archaeological evidence for the BofM? No Israelite DNA in "Lamanites"? Restoration of the priesthood created after the fact? Book of Abraham being fake? I'd say Law caught on to the scam.
I thought you guys were meant to be intellectuals? What exactly is 'Israelite DNA'? No such thing exists. Tell me what tribe or race Ishmaels wife came from and we can maybe have a serious discussion as to whether any strands of her mtDNA show in the modern American native. DNA is great for forensic science but terrible for lineage tracing. It filters out too many people.
I expected a defense of your "reliable witnesses", but you've been unusually quiet. Perhaps you're reading and learning instead of knee-jerk defending.
You only addressed DNA here, and ignored all the other issues I mentioned. Your response sounds like canned apologetics.
Jewish/Israelite DNA certainly does exist; ask the Lemba tribe. Since Lehi is male, why use mtDNA when nDNA also comes from Siberia? DNA is GREAT for population tracing.
Continued next window due to maxed character count.
Your naivete regarding DNA is showing. You can start becoming informed here: signaturebooks d o t c o m / d n a d o t h t m, and then read the many science-based, non-apologetic, books by real scientists who don't do apologetic quote mining. An easy one to start with is "The Seven Daughters of Eve" by Bryan Sykes.
Yes, I've read many scientific books on DNA, and the apologists are nuts with their evidence twisting. Excuses for the lack of Jewish DNA are all they have, as they have no evidence
Ive had 'Seven Daughters of Eve' for years. You obviously haven't read it. You obvously haven't read the American Journal of Human Genetics 'A Populationwide Coalescent Analysis of Icelandic Matrilineal and
Patrilineal Genealogies: Evidence for a Faster Evolutionary Rate of mtDNA
Lineages than Y Chromosomes' either. The LDS church is true. The Book of Mormon is true.
I definitely have read it. Obviously, your spirit of discernment is not functioning well, but what else is new?
If your spirit of discernment was working, you'd figure out that the LDS church is a Big Fraud. The Book of Mormon is a plagiarized joke. The Book of Abraham is fake. If you can't get enlightenment from the Holy Ghost, Google will give enlightenment, and without a 10% fee. Just ask, and you shall receive, for Google giveth liberally.
I told my bishop I'd come back to church when they found some Lamanites. Haven't heard from him.
Since you know so much about DNA, where are these Lamanites "Blossoming as a Rose"? Even one Lamanite? One Nephite artifact? Hello??? My family sacrificing for the Indian Placement Program was a waste.
Present your EVIDENCE for your claims, not "plausible parallels". Enough excuses. Just show me some real live Lamanites, and artifacts, so I can go back to church, but I won't be holding my breath.
@SkeptikToo Wrote: "I told my bishop I'd come back to church when they found some Lamanites. Haven't heard from him.
Get your white shirt and your conservative tie back on...... AFTER you've put on your holy underwear.
I saw some Lamanites leaving the local Home Depot today. They were dark skinned people, filled with mischief, and they had LAMANITE flooring and counter tops in the back of their pick up truck!!
@SkeptikToo "Female garments and a dress"?? Well, I guess if you're one of those Mormons from San Francisco. Oh, wait!! ..... you're one of those "lowly, subservient helpmeets" Missed that part. Never mind!!! The GOOD NEWS is, YOU CAN STILL TITHE!!
Actually, the correct spelling is "LAMANITE" flooring and counter tops. The spelling was CHANGED to "Laminate" by hateful Anti-Mormons who are serving Satan and trying to destroy Joseph Smith's........ errr..... I mean GOD'S One True Church!! ;o)
Why was BYU's Lamanite Generation changed to Living Legends?
The in-fighting between FAIR's LGT and Rod Meldrum's North American setting is most amusing.
If you tell me the Lamanites are in Mesoamerica, then I'll ask why was the "inspired" Indian Placement Program in North America?
If you say Lamanites are in North America, then tell me where so I can see them blossom, trace their linguistic evolution from "Reformed Egyptian", compare their morphology, and watch them turn white & delightsome!
Mwhahahahahhaha! I love this channel. Isn't it funny how the believers like to argue the claims that cannot be substantiated? Then they're downright nasty, as most Mormons usually are. All they can do in an argument is smugly, and I do mean, smugly, bear their testimony in most cases.
btw, I've researched The Fraud for a decade, long before MormonThink even existed. You don't need to spend a decade, as it's all done for you, all on one site, and much of the documentation is from the Mormon church's own publications and sources.
I would especially recommend for you the "Testimony and Spiritual Witness" section.
thank you for your kind advice. there isn't really much anti-mormon stuff that I haven't looked at. Unfortunately, I discovered at the tender age of 19 that the LDS church is true. So as Joseph said, Ive left neutral ground forever. If I didn't know I would never have believed it with all the negative stuff on the net, but its too late for that...
"Smith told me the whole affair was a hoax; that he had no such book and did not believe there was such a book in existence; But,' said he, as I have got the damned fools fixed, I shall carry out the fun.'"
"in company with said Smith alone, and asked him to tell him honestly whether he could see this money or not. Smith hesitated some time, but finally replied, "to be candid, between you and me, I cannot, any more than you or any body else; but any way to get a living."
Btw, Ive been researching the Truth for over two decades. Its very interesting reading all of the alternative 'theories' but its all relative. It would be like someone trying to convince me that I don't exist. However persuasive the argument, I know otherwise.
It's a magical world in which you live! Yours is a world of global floods, the Sun's light-source as Kolob, civilizations disappearing without a trace, underwear which protects you from evil, ghosts, spirits, magical rocks which can show hidden treasures etc. It must be like living in a fairytale, how magical, a Disneyland of the mind! One has to grow from childish things and embrace things as they are, not as we wish them to be. Magic is not real nor are Smith's claims.
No, there's nothing magical about it. Its just the science of the Gods. Where does it say that our Sun/Star gets it light from Kolob? Your vain imagination is running away with you! No magic underwear...just a reminder of your covenants. No ghosts. No magical rocks...God has prepared certain instruments.
Well my dear Mormon, either you are ignorant of your religion or you are lying, either does not bode well for you. Let's start with your magical underwear shall we? Here's a snippet from the endowment, just to refresh your memory: "Inasmuch as you do not defile it, but are true and faithful to your covenants, it will be a shield and a protection to you against the power of the destroyer until you have finished your work on the earth." Please be honest, lying for the Lord is never acceptable.
Let me help you out on the Kolobian/Sun connection as well. According to the Book of Abraham, the source of light for the Sun is Kolob. According to Mormon cosmology, Kolob is the governing star located near the home planet of Elohim, the Mormon god. According to Facsimile 2 in the Book of Abraham, Founding Mormon prophet Joseph Smith interpreted Figure 5 this way:
Is called in Egyptian Enish-go-on-dosh; this is one of the governing planets also, and is said by the Egyptians to be the Sun, and to borrow its light from Kolob through the medium of Kae-e-vanrash, which is the grand Key, or, in other words, the governing power, which governs fifteen other fixed planets or stars, as also Floeese or the Moon, the Earth and the Sun in their annual revolutions.
This planet receives its power through the medium of Kli-flos-is-es, or Hah-ko-kau-beam, the stars represented by numbers 22 and 23, receiving light from the revolutions of Kolob. (Abraham Facsimile 2, Figure 5)
In contrast to modern science and a firm understanding of how the Sun opperates, Mormonism teaches that the planet Enish-go-on-dosh (the Sun) borrows its light from Kolob through the medium of Kae-e-vanrish, which is the governing power. It also teaches that this planet receives its power (Kae-e-vanrish) from two other stars (or planets), which in turn receive their light from Kolob.
Other LDS scriptures also teach that the universe is connected together to, shall we say, power lines (Kae-e-vanrish, the governing power) and that through this outside source of power or light, all things remain in their present state, giving light or power to each other. (See D&C 88: 4-13, 42-47.) So, Mormonism teaches that the Suns power comes from an outside source, whereas mainstream science teaches that the Suns power comes from an internal source, i.e. fusion.
Strange how the Mormon god could not see this one coming. ;) Hopefully this sheds a bit more light on your ignorance regarding your own religion. Note that light is solar not Kolobian.
Your ignorance of your religion's history is expected, but not acceptable. Please research. You cannot claim something to be true when you don't even have a clue about that which you are testifying. It is not what it claims to be.
p.s. I would investigate those magical rocks too. I believe Smith referred to them as "Seer Stones." I'm sure you'll find that subject illuminating as well.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14)
Martin Harris saw visions and supernatural appearances all around him..."that on the way he met the Lord Jesus Christ, who walked along by the side of him in the shape of a deer for two or three miles, talking with him as familiarly as one man talks with another." He had "seen Jesus Christ and that he is the handsomest man he ever did see. He has also seen the Devil, whom he described as a very sleek haired fellow with four feet, and a head like that of a Jack-ass." Vogel,EMD 2: 271, note 32.
Joseph Smith said "John Whitmer, David Whitmer, Oliver Cowdery, and Martin Harris are too mean to mention" Smith said of David Whitmer: "God suffered such kind of beings to afflict Job. This poor man who professes to be much of a prophet, has no other dumb ass to ride but David Whitmer, to forbid his madness when he goes up to curse Israel; and this ass not being of the same kind as Balaam's,... he brays out cursings instead of blessings. Poor ass!" (History of the Church, vol. 3, p.228 & 232).
You spend your time in digging for money pretended to see in a stone, and thus try to deceive people. Joseph wept, and acknowledged he could not see in a stone now, nor never could; and that his former pretensions in that respect, were all false. He then promised to give up his old habits of digging for money and looking into stones.
Witnesses saw plates with "spiritual eyes" not "natural eyes".
There is SO much more. Yep, reliable witnesses all, Ha!
I'm sorry Luke, you're going to have to do better than that. When your religion makes claims which supposedly affect the real world, then evidence must be there to support the claim. Your Mormon duck & retreat ploy should be an indicator to you that your position is unsound & therefore untenable.
Repeat after me: Extraordinary Claims Demand Extraordinary Evidence, so far all you've provided is the same empty testimony found the world over in all of the varied religions.
"After Oliver Cowdery had been taken by a State warrant for stealing, and the stolen property found ... in which nefarious transaction John Whitmer had also participated. Oliver Cowdery stole the property, conveyed it to John Whitmer ... Oliver Cowdery, David Whitmer, and Lyman E. Johnson, united with a gang of counterfeiters, thieves, liars, and blacklegs of the deepest dye, to deceive, cheat, and defraud the saints out of their property...."
When are people going to realize that you can not stop the will of God no matter how many lies you pile up on top of him. You just can't bring him down. Ask your local LDS missionary for help finding that sweet spirit of Christ that may be missing from your life.
So what are the lies in this presentation? Instead of coming here bearing testimony, why don't you counter with the evidence which shows where the errors and lies are. You are a delusional person where glowing rocks, global flood and disappearing golden plates are a reality. Please research.
May I suggest the following site run by Mormons to aid you in your studies:
Well i really dont have to the result speak a heck of alot louder than any futile argument that you would like me engage in. Just your own results are enough for to me to make a rational educated decision that living a life without faith, hope, and charity will only lead to more self destruction. I know its difficult for you to move on in life. I know its hard for you to accept the decisions you have made. Even more reason I still follow Christ. Results don't lie. If your man enough to look atum
Where are the "lies" in the presentation as you claim? Come on now oh spiritual one, let us see your refutation of the lies, and no, your warm fuzzies don't count. Please show us where the presentation is in error.
I'll go back to wallowing in darkness now as we wait for your evidence filled reply.
As I suggested, please visit here to aid in your studies: Mormon think d o t c o m
ok your life. Your life is the results of not only lying to others but lying to yourself as well.Only reason one would ever be so scorn and out of touch with reality is because of a lifetime of pain and lies. Placeing blame we all know doesn't work. If we fail to take accoutability for our own actions then your life is a result
Still waiting for the evidence which supports your claims. You made the claim, now back it up. Come on, you can do it right? Otherwise if you come here and claim that there are lies in this presentation and then do not supply the sufficient counter, you are in a position of bearing false witness, and apparently Elohim does not look kindly on such, unless lying is in defense of his kingdom right? Come on, please show us the evidence which shows this presentation to be in error & rife with lies.
Ok i try this in a way you understand it. Results... Someone who spends their time energy money etc. Speaking out against something because they would not follow the rules that where involved in that something. Instead of just leaving it be or trying something new. they start a quest to disprove that something. Instead of taking accountability for there own actions they live their life resentful and ego driven to stop that something. Does it work? Is there anything good in doing that? Results?
Still waiting for that evidence. Without such your postulations, summations and very position are worthless. You have to support your claims with evidence, otherwise you have nothing on which to stand.
Now back to outer darkness, waiting for your evidence filled reply to show us all the "lies"
The evidence is right here my friend. Its right here if front of you. All you have to do is open your eyes and look at it. The results are louder now than they ever have been. Are you gonna take a look or do you need more time. The mirror is waiting.
Its a case of who you believe isn't it? And which end of the telescope you look through. Ive been in both camps. And when Ive lost the spirit Ive become highly crtitical of others and defensive of myself. But at the end of the day the church is still true. Ken was starting to slip and was looking for excuses. And there's plenty of them!
No, it's not a matter of believing anyone. You can do your own research. Your religion makes amazing claims. Can you back them up? Can they be supported in the real world sans a fantasy mindset? Let's test a few of those claims.
1. Does the Sun get its light from Kolob as stated in the BoA? Be honest now..
2. Was there a global flood as taught by your religion from its inception? Please provide the evidence to support this claim.
If these two are not real, what else might be in error?
You have placed yourself in a pattern of circular logic. If one becomes critical, then one loses the spirit. When you lose the spirit, you become more critical & defensive. Because this happens, (being critical and losing the spirit) the church is true. The church is always going to be true despite the evidence against it. No matter what you say, think etc. the church is always true. If one can't accept that see the above. Uh huh, no problems there.
I know the church is true the same way that all true saints have know since the begining of time. That cannot change. I can either live faithful to that knowledge or I can betray it.
All true saints since the beginning of time know their church is true. The Catholic Saints know their church is true. All the Protestant flavors know their churches are true. Muslims know Islam is true, and kill others for it.
Closer to the beginning of time, "true saints" knew Zeus, or Thor, or Mithra were true.
Living faithful to or betraying that knowledge is a false dichotomy.
Improve upon your "knowledge". See MormonThink d o t c o m
"Once while reading scripture, he reportedly mistook a candle's sputtering as a sign that the devil desired him to stop. Another time he excitedly awoke from his sleep believing that a creature as large as a dog had been upon his chest, though a nearby associate could find nothing to confirm his fears...accounts told of visionary experiences with Satan and Christ, Harris once reporting that Christ had been poised on a roof beam."
Ronald W. Walker, "Martin Harris: Mormonism's Early Convert"
When you joined this Church you enlisted to serve God. When you did that you left the neutral ground, and you never can get back on to it. Should you forsake the Master you enlisted to serve, it will be by the instigations of the evil one, and you will follow his dictation and be his servant.
Brilliant! Thanks for stopping by. Obviously we've been lied to and need to get back on the right side. But then the devil is awfully appealing, so you can't blame us really.
Please watch the presentation and see if the claims are valid. If not, then you're safe and can continue in testimonial bliss, but if they are valid, perhaps something may not be quire right about your religion.
All the best in your continued studies. It's not what it claims to be, peep-stones not withstanding.
It takes a commitment to truth to become disposed to accept the logical consequences of your beliefs even when they conflict with what others tell you or what you want to believe.
A brilliant retort! Still waiting for the info in this presentation to be shown as inaccurate.
Unfortunately you do not posses any moral high ground. The very fact that you willingly ignore the morally bankrupt behavior of your founding prophet indicates a severe lack of moral and ethical integrity on your part.
When truth, reality, ethics and facts matter more to you than being "right", then perhaps you will be able to join the ranks of those of us to whom truth and ethics truly matter.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I knew you'll concede sooner or later. Anti-Mormons always always take that uncertain path.
So now you don't want to listen to what the Holy Bible is telling you? What other Holy Books that you're gonna use, 'cause certainly you're against The Book of Mormon already...
Dear fanatical Savaii, it is not a matter of leaving the scene so you can claim some Pyrrhic victory, It's simply your lack of content and substance in the conversation at hand.
You are not interested in discussing whether or not these claims made in this presentation are accurate or not, you just want to bear your testimony to make yourself feel good and safe within the confines of your fantasy.
When your serious, we'll talk. Until then, all the best to you in your studies, you need it.
Too much hate! Keep bragging about you being a Seminary teacher? A Seminary teacher can be a pig-farmer, can be a humble fisherman, or just an ordinary simple person...The Holy Bible warns about wise men like you: "...and by good words & fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple" and thats exactly what you're doing.
You sir are a fanatical cultist. Please watch the "Releasing the Bonds" video presentation next.
Thanks for pointing out our true mission to inquiring minds the world over; that of deceiving others. You got us. We give up, we're going back to the Mormon Church.
Your testimony belies a complete ignorance of the reality behind Mormonism and a deference for deceptions, lies and absurdities. I guess it takes one to know one as they say.
Me a fanatic?? Thats my big laugh for the day. You don't even realize that you're doing exactly what you're preaching in here, deceiving others, backbiting & twisting God's Truth with hatreds about The Church of Jesus Christ.
I quoted to you from the Bible & you totally ignore those studies, huh? I think you're the ones that need to do more studies, and no wonder why you left The Church, pride & creed. We all know that the strong will be weakened & the simple will be made strong.
Remember, you're talking again about that religious organization that was started by a guy who used a rock in his hat to get messages from God. Okay, yes, good luck with that. You've got your work cut out for you.
As I've said...Who cares what God uses to bring forth His Truth? He can make the rocks or animals talking if He wants to or the mountains to scream out His Truth to the world.
Were you excommunicated for denying the Holy Ghost, like most people that left The Church? Good luck with your search for happiness.
Yes, we all wanted to sleep in, sin and most of all, we were very offended by the way our Bishop treated us, so of course we left. Why else would would we leave? You are precious!
So far, you have not refuted the claims made by our fellow holy ghost denier, Ken. If this presentation is a fraud, contending against God as you claim, surely you can let everyone know just what it is that Ken is lying about. But then, that might take effort and may even expose you to the reality about your faith.
Well, you must be enjoying my being up here talking to you guys, huh? So it was some disagreements between members & not The Church? Thats hard to believe...why else for your group to stage such a gathering?...with one purpose only is to whine about The Church instead of your Bishop, but the fact to the matter is: you will always be looking for someone to blame, isn't it?
Actually, I'm not shedding any tears of sadness at all, Im absolutely happy that you're out, only because God doesn't need your kind of weak, coward people in His Kingdom. The anti-Mormons just love you guys for helping them with their message of hate, but God knows His Truth will keep rolling forward until His Son returns. May God have mercy on you.
You are why we are here. The absolute unfounded certainties you proclaim and the complete ignorance of the realities of both your Mormon doctrine and history shows the importance of our voice in standing against your absurd certainties.
You still have yet to refute anything Ken has presented in this presentation. But then truth really is not that important to the believing Mormon now is it?
Please, please, please pull your head out and research! Prove this presentation wrong!
Fear? Like you fear your Bishop than God & His Kingdom? And FYI, the only person I fear is God beside my Mom. I just can't believe that I am actually witnessing prophecies fulfilled, and thats a pretty cool thing for me now. Satan & his gang are out in full force recruiting & you're it.
Please step away from the computer, find your medication and relax. You are so certain of the fulfillment of prophecy without actually verifying if the so called prophecies are actually real and fulfilled. Typical fanatic.
Please show us where these lies and distortions are in this and other EMF presentations dear Savaii. So far, we've heard nothing from you save for hyperbole and the ravings of a fanatic. Again, where are the lies and distortions in Ken's presentation?
Thanks for waiting. Here's what Jesus Christ said: "He that is not with me is against me" and He also added this: "O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things?..."
The whole meeting was staged to talk evil about God's Truth on earth. Everything in Ken's presentation was out of his own creations & craftiness...sounded good to his vulnerable audience, but again with evil-intentions.
You can't be for real. I think you're having us on.
We can't continue this conversation if you really are for real. You are in serious need of help my friend. Your cognitive dissonance is interfering with reality and causing you to see bogey men where there are none.
Still we wait for your brilliant retort displaying actual evidence to refute the claims made by Ken, but alas I'm afraid such will not be forth coming from you.

"What if something was taken out of context??"

LukeAir2008 2 years ago

Thanks.

yes you're right, I got that wrong, it was William McLellin who stole the blankets!
LukeAir2008 2 years ago
Then I will go back to William Law being a reliable witness.
SkeptikToo 2 years ago
How do you reconcile the fact that your reliable witness, William Law, believed that Joseph Smith had been a true Prophet but had fallen. He believed in the First Vision, the Book of Mormon and the restoration of the Priesthood. A reliable witness indeed!
LukeAir2008 2 years ago

LukeAir2008 2 years ago
I expected a defense of your "reliable witnesses", but you've been unusually quiet. Perhaps you're reading and learning instead of knee-jerk defending.
You only addressed DNA here, and ignored all the other issues I mentioned. Your response sounds like canned apologetics.
Jewish/Israelite DNA certainly does exist; ask the Lemba tribe. Since Lehi is male, why use mtDNA when nDNA also comes from Siberia? DNA is GREAT for population tracing.
Continued next window due to maxed character count.
SkeptikToo 2 years ago 3
Your naivete regarding DNA is showing. You can start becoming informed here: signaturebooks d o t c o m / d n a d o t h t m, and then read the many science-based, non-apologetic, books by real scientists who don't do apologetic quote mining. An easy one to start with is "The Seven Daughters of Eve" by Bryan Sykes.
Yes, I've read many scientific books on DNA, and the apologists are nuts with their evidence twisting. Excuses for the lack of Jewish DNA are all they have, as they have no evidence
SkeptikToo 2 years ago 4
Ive had 'Seven Daughters of Eve' for years. You obviously haven't read it. You obvously haven't read the American Journal of Human Genetics 'A Populationwide Coalescent Analysis of Icelandic Matrilineal and

Lineages than Y Chromosomes' either. The LDS church is true. The Book of Mormon is true.
SonOfAdam777 2 years ago
I definitely have read it. Obviously, your spirit of discernment is not functioning well, but what else is new?
If your spirit of discernment was working, you'd figure out that the LDS church is a Big Fraud. The Book of Mormon is a plagiarized joke. The Book of Abraham is fake.
Reality matters.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
No, there's nothing magical about it. Its just the science of the Gods. Where does it say that our Sun/Star gets it light from Kolob? Your vain imagination is running away with you! No magic underwear...just a reminder of your covenants. No ghosts. No magical rocks...God has prepared certain instruments.
evilservant 2 years ago
Well my dear Mormon, either you are ignorant of your religion or you are lying, either does not bode well for you. Let's start with your magical underwear shall we? Here's a snippet from the endowment, just to refresh your memory: "Inasmuch as you do not defile it, but are true and faithful to your covenants, it will be a shield and a protection to you against the power of the destroyer until you have finished your work on the earth." Please be honest, lying for the Lord is never acceptable.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
Let me help you out on the Kolobian/Sun connection as well. According to the Book of Abraham, the source of light for the Sun is Kolob. According to Mormon cosmology, Kolob is the governing star located near the home planet of Elohim, the Mormon god. According to Facsimile 2 in the Book of Abraham, Founding Mormon prophet Joseph Smith interpreted Figure 5 this way:
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
Is called in Egyptian Enish-go-on-dosh; this is one of the governing planets also, and is said by the Egyptians to be the Sun, and to borrow its light from Kolob through the medium of Kae-e-vanrash, which is the grand Key, or, in other words, the governing power, which governs fifteen other fixed planets or stars, as also Floeese or the Moon, the Earth and the Sun in their annual revolutions.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
This planet receives its power through the medium of Kli-flos-is-es, or Hah-ko-kau-beam, the stars represented by numbers 22 and 23, receiving light from the revolutions of Kolob. (Abraham Facsimile 2, Figure 5)
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
In contrast to modern science and a firm understanding of how the Sun opperates, Mormonism teaches that the planet Enish-go-on-dosh (the Sun) borrows its light from Kolob through the medium of Kae-e-vanrish, which is the governing power. It also teaches that this planet receives its power (Kae-e-vanrish) from two other stars (or planets), which in turn receive their light from Kolob.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
Other LDS scriptures also teach that the universe is connected together to, shall we say, power lines (Kae-e-vanrish, the governing power) and that through this outside source of power or light, all things remain in their present state, giving light or power to each other. (See D&C 88: 4-13, 42-47.) So, Mormonism teaches that the Suns power comes from an outside source, whereas mainstream science teaches that the Suns power comes from an internal source, i.e. fusion.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
Strange how the Mormon god could not see this one coming. ;) Hopefully this sheds a bit more light on your ignorance regarding your own religion. Note that light is solar not Kolobian.
Your ignorance of your religion's history is expected, but not acceptable. Please research. You cannot claim something to be true when you don't even have a clue about that which you are testifying. It is not what it claims to be.

You spend your time in digging for money pretended to see in a stone, and thus try to deceive people. Joseph wept, and acknowledged he could not see in a stone now, nor never could; and that his former pretensions in that respect, were all false.
LukeAir2008 2 years ago
No, it's not a matter of believing anyone. You can do your own research. Your religion makes amazing claims. Can you back them up? Can they be supported in the real world sans a fantasy mindset? Let's test a few of those claims.
1. Does the Sun get its light from Kolob as stated in the BoA? Be honest now..
2. Was there a global flood as taught by your religion from its inception? Please provide the evidence to support this claim.
If these two are not real, what else might be in error?
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
You have placed yourself in a pattern of circular logic. If one becomes critical, then one loses the spirit. When you lose the spirit, you become more critical & defensive. Because this happens, (being critical and losing the spirit) the church is true. The church is always going to be true despite the evidence against it. No matter what you say, think etc. the church is always true. If one can't accept that see the above. Uh huh, no problems there.
Please research
