  • beautiful car! I had a v6 before I bought a my cobra. I loved my v6 when I had it ,I always dreamed of twin turboing the v-6. I think im going to buy a 98 v6 and turn it into a project car and make it a sleeper.

  • @DIENAMICProductions the kit is like $5000 ish but you should get a new intake manifold and better brakes and suspension you can probably do it for $10k total i'm thinking about putting a supersix motorsports 4.3 in my 01 and getting this kit, i'm thinking that'll be about 15 with some other upgrades

  • @wonderbreadkw if youre looking for simple pushing power and 2 wheel burnouts go with the t-locs for the 7.5, its good for about 400hp or so, but if you want 400+hp go with a single piece aluminum driveshaft and a sturdier transmossion, the T5s werent so hot after 300hp, as well as an 8.8 rear end, good luck with ur S197 man!

  • Update: as of 8/21/09 car made 709rwhp unc., 698rwhp STD, 677rwhp SAE .. this season I was not able to run at the track, crazy work schedule and needed to get more safety equipment install b4 hitting the tracks again .. so I am hoping for next season to be in the mid 9's and mid 700rwhp SAE.. BTW look around there are ton more newer videos I have posted..

  • Interesting reading on some of the posts .. but yes its a v6 and thats what makes all the difference in the world, just about any v8 can be made fast with a lot more money, 94-2004 v6 stang you got to have skills and know how to make them equally fast for 1/3 what you put in to bigger motors ..   • actually if you knew anything about the v6 mustangs, then you would know that the 3.8 l in the mustangs are cammed down for economy. they have a very mild cam and with a swap to a cam with rougly 440 lift, a set of moly push rods, new lifters and rockers it can easily make 60 hp more than stock, but then again..you drive a grandamgttt which is pretty sweet stock i guess. dyno numbers don't lie my friend, i wouldn't consider it if i hadn't witnessed it myself

  • I have done them all from built 4, 6, and 8 cylinders, makes NO difference, its all about power to weight ratio and how well the motor flows! Nothing to do with cylinders! even when it comes to low end TQ, if you have a better flowing heads on a 6 cyl it will produce grater TQ than a v8 with less flow, Its still ALL about FLOW and the design of the 99-04 v6 mustang heads are simply better for flow, 99-04 v6 heads has 12 intake ports, flows equal to a 32v 03/04 Cobra heads and outflow GT heads.

  • Funny thing is ppl dont know I have built many cars, I am into fast cars and have built up Twin Turbo 98 Cobra, Twin Turbo 99 i6 Lexus GS, Twin Turbo 2000 v6 stang, Single and Twin turbo 02 4cyl 1.8t and 04 6cyl 3.0 Audi, my next project will be Twin Turbo C5 Corvette or the new TT BMW, for me its all about going fast!! FYI!! the how the motor flow air in/out !! and my CNC 3.8L heads flow equal to a 4v V8 heads .. hell this motor is good to 1,100hp !! and so far I have WON ALL equally setup v8 TT, Turbo or roots blower at the same power level!! so place at 1/3 the cost I'll show you TRUE!! muscle!!

  • What kind of life can you expect out of a TT v6? It's pretty cool that you did this to a v6 Mustang, my brother's wife had one that was a bit limp-wristed but this is a good way to get cheap power. I still like my V8 Mustangs for the sound and feel, but the 6 is a nice driver car that's affordable to buy and own. Not to mention that the lighter front end should make it do better in the corners, I've got a 2001 Bullitt that's pretty nose-heavy.

  • stock 6cyl vs a stock 8cyl, its common sense who is gonna win, a twin turbo 6cyl vs a twin turbo 8cyl, you know that the 8cyl will crush it,, i seen it to many times,, and if i spent 35k i would expect that car to come back with gold turbo's , a gold intercooler, the whole motor gold plated..otherwise twin turbo kits cost like 5,000, and when you put them on your at like what 450 hp , with a good tune,, i highy doubt it would got like 30k to build a motor, to only push an extra 250hp..

  • That's actually not always true... A GOOD well built TT kit can be anywhere from $5,000 to even $10,000... My TT "kit" so far is costing about $7,000... As far as the V8 and V6 race, I've raced many a Mustang that is TT'd and I've probably lost twice out of 40 or so runs against them... Traction is where it's at ;)

  • actually, his v6 is running 700 hp and my friend has a 02 gt with an aluminum 4.6 race block, RHS custom heads, comp cams custom grind cams, forged je pistons, forged crank and h beam rods, trick flow upper intake, and basically the same setup that this car has turbo wise..his car put down 650 hp with a street tune and 800 with an aggresive race tune. at that high of power 50 to 100 horses doesn't mean as much as you think. his 6 still has a chance. learn your shit before you talk

  • Hi, what tune did you use to fix this engine up, obviously the custom tune allows for a certain amount of fuel to a certain amount of air, more air from the twin spoolers requires more fuel, so how did you fix this? How did you make allowances for extra heat, and the effect of boost on the internals and bottom end?

  • Thank you... I do this for me and me only .. hell don't even know how my video even got on here.. Built a 1998 TT Cobra for little over $35k a few year ago.. now proving to myself I can do it again for loss with a 6.. hell as I said its displacement .. a 4.6 vs 4.3 only .3 diff.

  • V6 is lighter than the v8 smaller engine and its aluminum block, the 2008 i own holds more boost then the new gts. also concerning the power to weight, who said all satngs are cow. mine has an aluminum drive shaft, carbon hood and trunk, fiberglass doors, 18 aluminum rims,with the back seat gutted. lets see your power to weight now?

  • nice. J isn't running 700hp. 700hpV6 is and runs high 9's with a lowly stock block ford V6 for alot less money than a built 3V.   • apparently you don't know much about cars, and i wouldn't expect any less from a typical ricer. here's the thing, your friend has an 07 GT, built to 700 hp? ofcourse its gonna beat this v6. its still a v6, your "sweet civiv" is running 400hp, good for it but you still built a 4cylinder and its still a civic. don't make fun of the guy for doing what he likes, we don't make fun of u for building 4cylinders. and ps, .3L means the displacement, and its not even close to 100 extra hp.

  • there is a 100 hp difference between the v6 and v8 lol 2 psi might make an extra 20hp at the most to the wheels... so your wrong when you say that a v6 would need 2 more psi to be even with a v8

  • there is actually a 50 horsepower difference between the v6 and v8. i have a 2001 mustang v6 that put down 225 hp 217 tq without any power adders, and am in the process of camming it with a comp cams 15608 grind which will take the car to around 260 to 270 hp. going by what others i know have gotten. on a NA motor. which is roughly 15 to 20 hp more than a gt at the wheels. as for the skyline guy..i believe thats a rotary motor correct? try it with a pushrod engine

  • what fuel are you running? My first car, a 2001 V6 Stang, only put down 200-210 factory. I eventually modded the crap out of it, but as I recall it wasn't quite 225. I assume you mean bhp as well right?

  • a cobra with 15 psi will put down more then 500 hp my friend.... and for one PSI DOES NOT MEAN A THING!!!!!!!!!!!!! so you cant say hey, 14-17psi will put down 500 hp.... it depends on the size, the trim, the tune, bored size.... a number of different things you couldnt even think about.... so if you take a v6 mustang vs a v8 mustang.. both with the same turbos, same amount of boost... the v8 would spank that v6
