thats not an adjustable exhaust valve. it's called an electronic e-cutout

thats probably what those 7 gauges are in the center console.

but theres more he could have...

meth tank level, water pressure, fuel pressure, and a clock to name 4 more...

most of them supply critical information especially for heavily modded vehicles...

@braintrain5000 well the gauges will tell you if theres a malfunction anywhere so you can stop or get somewhere and fix it as soon as possible before any serious damage happens.

to hook them up, some come with a sensor for temperature or pressure other than that most are only 4 or 5 wires for the dual color gauges.

Water temp - most cars have this too

Fuel Pressure - maybe not essential, but if it completes the set of full defis then I want it :)

Go for an ebay striaght pipe. Cant go wrong with the power, sound and price.

Look for at least 3 1/2 inches.

If it cracks, you can buy another or ghetto fix it.

YES. Valve overlap, backpressure and even exhaust resonance are delicately balanced from the factory for optimum "all around performance and driveability", not to say you can't make it better. Lower the back pressure, increase overlap and increase resonance response and you get a high rpm monster. Increase the back pressure, shorten overlap and lengthen resonance response and get a highway cruiser with good mpg. V-tec, vvt-i etc mess with the valve timing/overlap to get the best of both worlds.

Lol, it's not VVTI, it's an electronically operated valve in the exhaust system which open & closes (hence reducing noise). It means I can close it off early in the morning & late at night to stop annoying the neighbours.

Dump valves have nothing to do with the exhaust system (they reside on the intake side).

I have a valve in my exhaust system which adjusts the size of the pipe from 4" (loud) down to 0" (quiet). Imagine a throttle body in the exhaust system.
