  • your running it too lean.

  • Your rediculous that's def wheel spin bahaha and autos less power but better for strip use manual more power but takes .00056 sec longer to shift it's a known fact that if you drive stick you get more pussy. Duh that's y all the kids are doing it. And stick makes it a little more race of men than race of machine anyone can smash a pedal down and wait for the finish line

  • how much would you estimate it took you to build you car from stock like it is now? i have 99 v6 (stock right now) im going to start off with a CAI and go from there..

  • that sounds sweet, i love the consistent whine from the s/c with the auto. i have a manual but either one would be awesome to have!

  • stock tranny?

  • manual is more fun i have an automatic for daily driving

  • @Mr97stangGT ever drove a Th400? and I have more fun winning with my auto

  • cars built for drag racing dont use the regular shift pattern transmissions. Still manual though.

  • hly shit the fuckin nuts what kind of numbers are yuou running and whats all done to motor?

  • you rocks

  • nice!

  • It is a common known fact a manual is a little bit faster. You get more horse power out of your gears. It takes away some horse power because of that centrifugal clutch...... when it comes down to it though, it's like comparing apples to apples. It's all personal preference.

  • too bad he was on ice or snow!

theres not a car in the WORLD that can go 0 - 80mph without spinning the tires

a little funny dont ya think

  • I put my stock rims and tires on notice the title "on street tires" The tires are spinning on pavement up until about 80mph where i got out of the throttle to get it straightened up! Ice or snow that is the dumbest thing i have heard if those conditions exist you are sure not going to be going 130mph and definatly not going to be able to accelerate this fast.

  • @drumminbooth ; how about my moms suzuki... cant spin the tires AT ALL......haha :P

  • and an automatic.. such as shame.

  • ur a fucking idiot, automatic is the way to go when u get into high horsepower mustangs, stronger tranny, never miss a gear. consistant as fuck on the track, anymore points, o but one less gear, my bad, but a good tune takes care of that!!!

  • You dont know how to drive a stick? That's your problem. Consistent? With an experienced driver a manual will do much better. Direct drive is much more exact than driving on fluid. On a twisty track that one gear will easily decide who wins and who loses. Matter of fact the last time i checked all racing cars have 5 or 6 gears for a good reason, not 4 or less. Dude you seriously need to learn ur stuff before you go spreading ur "knowledge" around.

  • no i do know how to drive stick, but the stang i have now is auto, and where do ppl usually race there cars??? o ya on a fucking drag strip, straight line buddy, not many common everyday racers race their car for nurburgring or sebring haha so fuck "twisty tracks" its all straight line, the only thing the auto stang is lacking vs the manual stang is one gear, and chances are if we have the same hp mustang; mine is auto ur is the glorious manual, u fuck urs up before mine, dont worry about clutch

  • lol From what i've seen most people usually "race" them on stop lights. No wonder we get a bad name. Also using the excuse that there are no "twisty tracks" because you cant drive on them doesnt make you right. There are plenty of tracks. You just have to look for them.

How will i fuck up my manual if i actually know how to shift correctly without panicking? Sorry dude the manual dominates in the racing world. The only thing autos are good for is slow rock crawling (4x4s and such).

  • dude i give up haha u win

    manual=superior hahaha

  • yea i agree that a manual is better for the track, but a new 6 speed auto that comes in these new vehicles is the way to go for drag racing

  • lol. are you serious dude

  • the only time someone uses an auto for drag racing is if there running 800+ horsepower cus no one can shift that fast

  • Or people use auto with mild too high power bc- the city has too much traffic...

  • i have a good amount of traffic and i use a stage 3 clutch...dont bother me any but im young though my be bad for old people

  • Good amount of traffic?

you're not getting the point - people who don't like to deal with the shifting every sec.. enjoy auto and still can hold and deliver the same amount of hp/tq and in most case since you dont have to shift it is better, with turbo's.. old and or young it is just a personal like or dislike...

  • i have built my car from stock and i could care less if you like automatics or not and my stage 5 auto tranny flat out gets it on the strip/street whatever.

  • @SALLYGONE I would have to agree with you on the automatic. Old saying goes " You can never out shift an auto trans" With a built auto and a nice converter you can't go wrong.

  • @SALLYGONE but its still an automatic....

  • @Triple88a You realize that Auto's are stronger and that no person can shift as fast as a computer right?I would rather have an Auto and not miss shifts.

  • @TheMrhoneycutt have ur torque converter, i'd rather have my triple plate clutch. As far as fast shifting goes you will be able to shift from 1st to 2nd much faster 3rd to 4th still much faster, 5th to 6th still faster and also you have the option of dropping the clutch and get some more push out of it, if u get tot he racing transmission they are all push and pull so your argument is invalid.

  • @Triple88a autos are faster. deal with it

  • @BurtonBluntRider sequential transmissions are not autos deep shit. Learn your facts before you drive the wham mobile on youtube please.

  • @Triple88a bullshit. It is an auto. No different then a 4r with a manual valve body. do some research for your own good.

  • @BurtonBluntRider I have done plenty of research. Sequential transmissions are not auto. You're confusing the sequential transmissions with the auto transmissions that allow the driver to choose the gear to be in by pushing the gear lever forth and back.

  • @Triple88a then why does GM call it an auto tranny a long with everyone else?

google "th400"Turbo-Hydramatic is the registered tradename of a family of automatic transmissions developed and produced by General Motors

  • thats sick dude

  • that was a burnout!

  • That's brutal!!

  • How much boost??

  • an unnecessary amount. lol that was crazy.

  • that was a lot!!!!
