If Napoleon had gone against Berlin first and take over that city he would win Waterloo. Since then Blucher couldnt come. Anyways nice video and VIVA LA EMPEROR
Waterloo was the military catasfroph for Napoleon and his army but THE BIGGEST MORAL VICTORY over his enemies. His soldiers choosed death as a free men because they fought for Freedom, Equality and Brotherhood.
@slizzler1 Thanks for the answer to my Commented. I wonder if you understand the end of the film. Napolions army was beaten, some might have fled to and including but not Voltigers Old Guard (Old Guard Polish). They stayed to the end faithful to their ideauer. I refer you to my channel where you can find answers to your despair.
@slizzler1 Sure, the battle was also about freedom, equality and fraternity for which France got inkludarad Napoleon was forced to make war against the reactionary monarchies in Europe.
Nobody forced Napoleon to run away from his nice retirement home on Elba.
He was an outlaw as soon as he did that.
You suspect wrong. I criticize any dictatorship or Empire that commits wrong. I get into more 'clashes' with British ultra-nationalists when I mention truths about British history they don't like. - Drapeau = flag -> not flake.
I've made it a point to read books written by everyone-> smart/ stupid/ liars/ all sides/ and by generals/ soldiers / citizens
@slizzler1 I suspect you are from United Kingdom and have read only English history books. Read a little different also when you get another picture of France during Napoleon's time. French flake is just for those three things I already mentioned. Blue for freedom, and white of the equality and red for brotherhood
@slizzler1 These ideauer did not die with Waterloo and then with Napoleon. They are constantly acktuella today. As I have said, it was a great military disaster for Napoleon's army but the biggest morolisk victory.
There was no moral victory. That battle was a brutal savage one- it would not have happened if Napoleon had stayed on Elba. Quel imbecile pour departer Elba.
@slizzler1 Old Guard vold death even though the Englishman suggested their confinement and life. See also who shot the film. It was a Russian Bondartchuk and he showed the battle of Waterloo in the right way.
@slizzler1 History books in various countries mention the battle but says it from their own angles. How else could an Englishman say about Napolion. It was them who sent him to St. Helena and then poisoned him. In England certain people Napoleon as usurper and nothing else.
I've studied Napoleon for several decades. Believe it or not, there are people who were not born in France who can read French, and who read French books translated into English.
The Waterloo campaign is something I am very capable of talking about in great detail.
Napoleon ran to the British for mercy after Waterloo- the Prussians wanted to hang him.
Yes- many British regarded him as a monster, but some did not. After Waterloo, the British financial situation was boosted
A nice video but all lies. There were no british soldiers at watercloset, nor has a battle taken place in this site. The battle took place at La Belle Alliance and was carried out by the prussian general Blücher and his black riders. Your little wellington came just after Blücher´s vivtory to steal the glory, as britons always do. Same thing happened in Dunkirk where uncle Adolf was watching your ridiculous rushy departure from Europe
@birongono British strategy in that era was always about how to minimize the cost while maximize the gain... Maybe Prussian government allow that as it's army was still in the field due to British money anyway.
hey birongono we won the war !
i dont know why the french have red and blue in their flag because when it comes to war they always fly a white flag hahaha

Actually the French army ran away as a mob at the end of the battle.
What history books are you reading?
The Waterloo campaign had nothing to do with freedom, equality, brotherhood.

Agincourt is one of my fave. It can still be done today. It'd be done with alot of CGI.
