I pulled out the HK21 and played with it exclusively the last couple of days. I get bored using the same old guns and like to change it up for a challenge and just to be different. I found the gun to perform surprisingly well, as it packs quite a punch and is strong at range. I had tried the RPK, but the recoil is tough to tame. Previously I have played alot with the Stoner, which is a great weapon, but the HK21 has steadier aim. I run Flakjak/Warlord/Tacmask all pro, with ext mags and red dot.

@sablatesse The AK74u is the bitchiest gun on the fucking game! It takes less skill to use than any other except the fucking claymore(not a gun)! And there are two kinds of camping: just sitting in a corner waiting to snag a few kills like a little bitch, and actively camping, defending an area, and providing some kind of overwatch of part of a map. Most EXPERIENCED players would agree with me. In fact, most do, like whiteboy7thst, FPSrussia, xJaws, etcetera.

I use this gun all the time. Iron sight can be a tad hard to use but once you get use to it, it's very reliable. I use it all the time in Hardcore mode, and since it kills in 1 hit at any range it can be used to snipe with effectively.

@maxdrouin1 How are you trying to use the HK21? Because you don't want to try using LMGs like you're using an assault rifle. You want to play defensively with them. That is, dig in behind cover, or stay in a particular area where you won't get surprised.

This lets you play to the LMGs' strength, which is being able to hold off large groups of attackers from a defensive position. When I started doing that, I got a lot better at using LMGs.

I quit Black Ops for a while. I can't stand ghost, ak74u - rapid fire, and the massive amount of frame rate issues there is on ps3. I don't know but it's only black ops. I'll just play mw2 until it gets patched. I don't know, mw2 seems good to me right now, very few people are oma noobtubing, really very few and there are almost no hackers anymore. It's great :-)

first, ak74 i have one ak74 class, with rapid fire lol, but i always have 2 bar connection, i'm glad if i get 3 bar, and sometimes i play with 1 bar, so ak74 rapid fire is just like any other gun in this game for me....

hk21 is a nice gun i use it sometimes when i'm very low level after i prestige every time, but i hate the long reloading time on LMG's so sleight of hand is the perk i'd use on every one of them, except for m60 , you can use the extended mags and hardened and rape everybody! lol

I never use a secondary pistol, always strella and I shoot down most spy planes and choppers. If I have the LAW I get killed intentionally just to respawn with another LAW to finish of choppers, it's what it's there for just like ghost. ;)

I belive the Hk-21 and Rpk are both really underused but both good if used right, i mean the rpk is more of a defensive and the hk is more attack with the iron sights and recoil. The rpk recoil jumps way high if fired full auto but the hk only needs to burst.

You should try the HK21 with warlord: extended mags and reflex or red dot sight. Extremely low recoil and a sight...pretty much makes it a sniper rifle hehe

Hk21 is pretty good i prefer the Stoner63 or the M60, both are awesome. I think its good how people are starting to use different guns it makes the game way more fun and less frustrating. people have always used guns like the 74u, famas, galil those types but now people have started using LMGs, different SMGs, shotguns, even the less common ARs like the M14, which is actually a great gun. Kudos to u Krahu for supporting variety in Black Ops!
