well one reason why some schools can't keep 30 in unison is the kids that join band (at least in my residential area / school district) have friends in band and they just want to hang out... so, as long as they get into band to be with their friends they don't care how they make the band sound...

but on a video related note... the unison is just pure amazing.

XylussN is right about the sound. They're in tune so well, it doesn't sound anywhere near 500 flutes. Not as little as 5 but still very few. So many of them are just kids too. It's amazing. ^_^

it had to of been extremelly hard to tune all of those flutes to eachother. Would have taken a reallyt really long time to do so. wow. Just imagine though how bad it would sound if just maybe 10 of those flutes or maybe even like 5 were out of tune with the others.
