African Ancestry doesn't hide anything. You take a paternal or maternal DNA test. In her case she took a Maternal DNA test (Mother's mother mother...500 years back). If someone wants to find out their total admixture (African/European/Asian), you have to take an autosomal DNA test. Different genetic companies do different testing. There is no conspiracy here.

come on, many of the black people in america are mixed with something else. seldom do you find someone who has 100 % african blood. here they are identifying that portion of her heritage. nowhere are they saying she (or her daughter - or her parents, for that matter) are 100% african...

@africagh18 that is why we are called african american. All African americans are mixed and we dont have pure "african" blood anymore. My father says he is Black but he is so red with long curly black hair. My mother has light brown eyes... but still we identify with being Black.

I don't know. Anything is possible, if the Igbo are Jews they're probably the ones that left Egypt a few thousand years ago because there's a lot of cultural correlation between the Igbo and ancient Egypt, and of course the Jews.

Bantus are in some parts of south and central Africa. North Nigeria, Niger, Mali, Somlia, Sudan, Ethiopia etc... are all Hamitic-semitic. Camaroon, South Nigeria, Benin etc... are not Bantu.
