Dev just released the album Ki, which is like a peaceful album with some heavy bits. In September, he will release Addicted, which will be pop rock/metal. After that, he's gonna make Deconstruction, which is the heaviest stuff he's ever written, and then he's gonna finish it up with an untitled as-of-yet ambient album.

Devin has said many a time that SYL will never tour again or do another album. After he quit drugs and alcohol a while back he felt that his work with SYL wasn't a true reflection of himself but rather a reflection of his drug-addled depressed side, and seeing as he's gotten rid of his drug-addled side he no longer feels that SYL is necessary.

Devin said SYL is done for good. He's not feeling those feelings that inspired it which makes it really hard and draining to get up on stage and do everyday

I play multiple instruments, am classically trained, and love tons of styles of music. When you're really into a band you can't feel pain and you just let loose and go nuts. Everything you just said is everything metal is against. Metal is about not being part of a stupid fucking scene with a dress code. It's about celebrating everyone's individuality and not judging others. If you don't like moshing, fine, but don't talk shit about it. When youre in a band, you want people to mosh to your music

I say ppl pay for the concert so its their right to not mosh as well as mosh. I would rather concentrate on the music instead of occupy myself with avoiding cheapshots or something. And saying ppl have to mosh is the scene. That is the "stupid fucking dress code" right there. ppl can not mosh if they feel like it. I was defending the crowd present, while also saying that its stupid to do it so much as to smash ppls faces. Next that isn't 'brutal' enough, why don't they just kill eachother?

I've been in mosh pits and circles and never hurt myself as of yet, in fact, if someone falls down there people always jump to help get them up so that everyone can continue on having fun - as that's what it's supposed to be, fun, just in an adrenaline-filled way.
