I LOVED this show! I still miss it. Helga living off of day old birthday cakes from the bakery when her parents left her! Jean Smart's voice was perfect for Pickles. "Sorry. Boundries." Scream!

I loved this show too and miss it terribly. But I think the main reason we're inundated with "reality" shows is due to cost. It's much cheaper to produce shows with non-(wanna-be) actors and no writers. Even the Oblongs were to return, I doubt Will Ferrell would sign on to do Bob's voice and that would surely effect the character of the whole show (at least to me.)

I love this show.. I really hope a studio picks it up again and they make new episodes. I mean, if shit shows like "I love New York" and "Flavor of Love" can make season after season, why can't a great show like this make a return?

Because great shows aren't as popular as they once were; a very, very sad thing. We've got to face it, the TV companies appeal to the majority, and the majority prefer bullshit programming. I'm glad they atleast release great shows like the Oblongs on DVD, but I still wish they'd make more episodes of it...and Mission Hill, and FLCL, ans some other great ones I can't remeber right now :/
