No I am with the Omaha Offutt American Meteorological Society. Thank you for the feedback. I corrected the AAA comment in a later video. My instruction booklet (2006) actually says 3 AAA though! It was corrrected in later printings I assume... Take care
Hi - ... Not in my experience. We program/reprogram about 500 of these every year. I do remember that a few years ago there were 2 people who brought us their radios and the antenna had come out on each of them. For one of them we were able to re-attach the antenna, but the other was not able to be fixed. I have used these radios for about 7 years and haven't had a problem. I'm sorry you have. You can contact Midland to see if they can help you out. They are very accomodating.
@khardersittel 2 well, that has not happened but i was considering purchasing this model radio and in reviews i saw anennas break easy, thank you for your time
NOTE: If you keep the ALERT TYPE on TONE: you have to physically press the weather/snooze button to get the alarm to stop, and to hear the voice telling you about the hazard.
If you keep the ALERT TYPE on VOICE, you will hear the alarm for 8 seconds, followed by the VOICE telling you of the hazard, with no intervention on your part...just press weather/snooze to turn off the alarm or voice..
Thanks for this after getting my codes camr here and easy as pie good job!!!

Are you really with the Omaha Emergency Management?
Also, these use 3 AA batteries. You said triple A.
Good video, either way.
