I understand what you mean.

I've had many enlightenment episodes when I was younger and I've seen many things that most people apparently haven't. Of course that doesn't make me better than everyone else. In many ways it separates me a lot from others and they don't always understand me when I try to explain what I feel and think when enlightenment occurs.
