This sets a new precedent in Taylor Launter's career, going from buff jock in a love triangle to the more "Mission Impossible" role, even though his character is way softer than Tom Cruise's role it's a step in that direction Taylor does need to work on nailing the dramatic part more. All in all, this is definite progress for him and indicator of personal and professional growth.
