Jesus, I always hated his one. Gengar is on set unchangable "Go with the team tactic" and you can't change it. He attacks every dangerous Pokémon he sees and causes them to go after him.

I think it's really touching that Gengar saw the error of his ways. Although his own curse could not be broken and Gardevoir will no longer remember him, he can have solace knowing his heart is healing and that he's able to go on with less torment weighing on him. I like to think Gengar will be okay now that he's taken care of this problem in his life.

Well actually there's no proof of that. All we know for sure is that you never see him again.

I like to think that he went off somewhere quiet to vanish. We 'main characters' like to made a big showy deal of it and explode into millions of glittery twinkly bits in front of everyone. I think now that Gengar's more sure of himself, he would go quietly without anyone to see him leave.

After all, who would care anyway? He was terrible to everyone for ages...
