After watching a few of your awesome clips. It seems the BFD only taps the Q button lightly during responses. They don't use the siren to it's full potential??
@911caddy Yeah, it depends. These days there is a lot of talk about noise pollution so that may (or may not) play a role in how the Q is used. I'm sure BFD doesn't want it to get banned like it is in NYC (even though some trucks still use it).
@code3paris ..Noise polution = electronic sirens. Which send their signal in every direction unlike an electro mechanical. Your video shows this quite well as the ladder passes you.
@911caddy The FS Q siren has been banned in NYC for years. More information is available on the net if you like. The next target of anti-noise advocates is the Federal Signal Rumbler. See noiseoff[dot]org for more info.
@911caddy Also, to join this chat, Sirens and horns make drivers uncomfortable. They will move for a truck with lights, but the sound of a blaring siren makes the driver edgy and un-predictable. Around here we don't blast them everywhere either. Just a few taps here and there. Generally (and There are definitely exceptions) people are fairly good about getting out of the way once they see the lights and other drivers moving as well
@jr464hc . I hear ya. From my experience, some drivers need more Q or stutter horn than others drivers. Depending on the vehicular situation at hand ;)

Anyone catch the Bin Laden dead sign sitting in the passenger side (officer side) window in the last frame? Well done.
