These are DiMArzios rather than HotRails ... but they're great for all out rock/metal. They do clean very well too, though if you're just cleaning up by dropping the volume, they can be tricky. But overall - they brill :)

well roisin dubh was one of the many names used in irish newspapers to represent ireland during the english occupation as they were not allowed to talk about ireland. so poets and writers wrote stuff about roisin dubh and other names to replace the word ireland in newspapers. hope that helped :D

you think? There's certainly more drive on this that the original track and the sound can be a bit mushy at times. I've adjusted the settings on my board for more recent vids for a clearer sound.

once i found out the first note it wasnt too hard to do it by ear. i have the main riff down and missing some of the part after 2:30

it starts on a G but you can grace note up to it from an E and F#

Ta very much - I do sometimes grace the start with an E-F#. Knowing a lot of Irish folk tunes also helps a lot in working this out (I was in a celidh band many moons ago!!).

Thanks a lot - I think the Guitar Pro tab on Ultimate is pretty good and I don't play it exactly as the studio version anyway! You have a mixture of definitive playing with the harmonies and then just letting rip at the end - I don't usually go for 'proper'!!!

I saw Lizzy 3 times with Phil, you've done as good a job as Scott Gorham or Snowy White ever did on that song.

On the Black Rose tour, Gary Moore played all of the fast stuff with Scott just doing the power chords.
