I am happy how the police handled the crisis last fall. In this case they made a deal with the protestors, that if the police left first, which they did, then the protestors would leave the bank themselves, which they did as well.

When the crisis was at the boiling point, wifes of police man came on the news complaining politicians were endangering police officers by not holding election. And later while rioting, the protestors themselves, made shields around police officers to protect them

Im from Iceland.Its caused by very rich men who owned big chains of buisnesses and banks all over Europe. When the Króna began to weaken they lost a lot of money and started to sell some o thier properties. Meanwhile the cashbank decided to raise polici rates instead of lowering them. Then one of the biggest bank Glitnir collapsed. Then Gordon Brown began to scare his own nation into believing that they wouldnt get their money from the other big icelandic banks because this bank collapsed.
