  • Amazing track! Thanks for posting :)

  • P.S. Good idea about using this for funeral music.

  • This movie was on TV tonight, and I watched it yet again. This song never fails to make me cry--I just love it!

  • someone have this soundtrack?

  • Toon, Toon!

  • From the first time i heard it, it´s very harmonic music.

  • best combination of notes possible! probably my favourite instrumental song ever.

  • Mark Knopfler... what a genius, the actual music is rubbish comparing it with the one of 70s or 80s.

  • This is going to be my funeral song. Beautiful piece.

  • @Inquiable Sorry, got there first, written into my will when I first heard it !!

  • Sigh, remember driving in the car on the family holidays, and this was (actually still is) my mums favourite tune. We would listen to it while she used to read us Treasure Island. Nostalgia is still the best drug.

  • Its so nice to see all these great coments about this fantastic tune

  • such a great movie and the music is incredible

  • Greatest tune ever written, 1 dislike, how dare you!

  • I just barely saw this movie at 28. I cant believe it took this long to see such a masterpiece

  • Who the Hell would dislike this - HOW THE HELL CAN YOU NOT LIKE THIS? Talent makes people jealous, I presume.

  • @MrsBrownsBoysFeck Though there is only one dislike at this time. It cannot be seen, cannot be felt. Let the song embrace you and forget about haters.

  • RIP Michael Brecker... You were a star that shone oh so brightly!

  • My all time Number One, the live set on Alchemy Live was the best.

    Thanks for uploading this. Brilliant!

  • This was the final song at my mom's funeral and @2:26 everyone stood up and clapped. Most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

  • Beautiful song. Love the sax

  • the best song ever

  • Everytime i hear this song i come close to tears and realise that i am sooooo proud to be a geordie and and would never and i mean NEVER wanna be anything else. I cant get over how much i love Newcastle and how different and better us geordies are!!!

  • My husband and I had this played when we walked together hand in hand, for our garden ceremony for our wedding in 1988 ... I am using it again for the slide show for his 50th birthday on December 30, 2011 ... Dire Straits played at the Mackay Show Grounds in the 80's ...

  • There's quite a few songs out there that give me shivers, but this one is by far the worst. Takes me back to the first time I walked out into St. James' pre-match and this was booming! Unbelievable feeling!

  • @STONEROSES9 Your right on the money there mate. Its a masterpiece amazing how no words can drive emotions...
