@RazzberryJamInAJar Im a Beatles fanatic. I like all the members but I have to admit this is how I would ranked them according to their skills, songwriting & overall impact to me. No 1 would be John & Paul TIED(cant even say one is better than the other coz they're really so talented). No. 2 would be George Harrison(he's got some good compositions listed as top songs on iTUNES)No. 3 Ringo Starr(I think he's got the good compositions for children like octopus' garden & yellow submarine)
@jahnro618724 Ringo is one of the most talented back beat drummers alive. Phil Collins and many other famous drummers have learned from him but you seem to degrade him as a simple children's songwriter.
@poltallach ikr. i didn't degrade him though as u interpreted it to be. i just mentioned his great compositions that are more of a children tune-like song. it's not my fault that those are his most popular songs and it sounds like songs for children. besides i think the mentioned songs are great too.
Ese lugar al que siempre vamos y en el que se cumplen nuestros más maravillosos sueños, donde nos sentimos que no necesitamos más nada. Esta canción dice mucho para mi. Por siempre The Beatles.
This is my theme song....I like to make "movies in my head" as I called them when I was little. They're mostly fan fictions, and the one right now is Mikey McCartney and his friend Rachel Ann(fictional) following the Beatles to Hamburg. I made Mikey 10, just to have more of the a'annoying little brother" thing. They went in the boys' suitcases. Don't know how that would work in real life....XD I know I'm weird.

Any way, here is my question for this trk. On the morning of 2/11/63 they recorded to 2-track Takes 1-10 of There's A Place. In the afternoon they did the harmonica overdubs onto track 2 (I think ending up using T-13). My ? is how did they integrate the harmonica onto Trk 2? What was on Trk 2 to begin with? There's a place in the heart of Beatle fans where songs such as these gather and grow more and more special over the years. I am now 53 years of age, and I can tell you that I've been a Beatle fan all of my life, even when I was spring up and down on my rubber legs when I was a kid. Gotta love the Beatles. At least I do.

Great song choice...not well known but a great tune. I just came back from Europe and my last part of the trip was to Liverpool. It was incredible being in all the places these guys wrote about in their songs, and to see the church yard when John and Paul first met. I know it will sound sacrilegious to some, but it had a sacred feeling to the whole experience. After all, this talent was something beyond the reality we are normally live in.
Their early stuff is dismissed as "pop", but this song rocked me at age 12! "It's my mind"! where i can go! No one was singing this stuff in 1963. It was all puppy love and Elivis imitators. This WAS LENNON singing after all.
soo wonderful and beautiful. a great bond...best friends and brothers. they should deffiently do some sort of huge tribute to the beatles beofre theyre all gone.
Superb pictures some rare ones here, well done, love the made up pic of Paul & John, this is a great song, youde never know it was a b side, thumbs up!1..... P.S. Hopefully youll play my cover of Nowhere man im about to try & attach, cheers "keep on rockin" from Foxy!!....
i am currently learning to play guitar and im only 15 my dad plays in a band with pete best the origanal drummer for the beatles and i hope i can take the beatles beautifful music into the next generation with me :D rip john and george you will live forever in your music
The greatest songwriters in the history of popular music. Two ordinary lads from Liverpool who went on to "Bestrode the World"
There are remote tribes in Africa that probably whistle the tune to "Yellow Submarine" and "Yesterday" when going hunting :-)
The Beatles, Led Zepellin, Cream, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Deep Purple, Elton John, David Bowie, Queen, ELO and so many others , Oh how great it is..... to be an Englishman.
@alex4allofyou Yeah, Radiohead, Coldplay, Portishead, Deep Purple, The Bee Gees the list goes on. But the Dutch are certainly better at football than we are :-)
What in the heck is that person in here talking about that these harmonies are off? They are NOT they are pretty much perfect - especially for live vocals. I suspect someone doesn't understand much about musical variations such as majors and minors. I'm guessing you think the harmonica is off key too ROFLMAO

@starryian007
You forgot Radiohead (and a lot more). There is no denying, the English are masters of modern music.
We are proud to be neighbours says a Dutchman.
alex4allofyou 1 year ago
@alex4allofyou Yeah, Radiohead, Coldplay, Portishead, Deep Purple, The Bee Gees the list goes on. But the Dutch are certainly better at football than we are :-)
Thanks again.

The Beatles would have broken up with or without Yoko. They were too popular and too competitive with each other not to.

What in the heck is that person in here talking about that these harmonies are off? They are NOT they are pretty much perfect - especially for live vocals. I suspect someone doesn't understand much about musical variations such as majors and minors. I'm guessing you think the harmonica is off key too ROFLMAO
