real shame this hex version doesnt have a 2 speed function like the keyless chuck one.
also rather disappointing is it's performance VS the makita (which i own), with higher voltage and higher capacity batteries i would have expected more from milwaukee. certainly is nicely built though, my makita is solid but this thing's quality is second to none.
also why more companies dont use makita's afterglow work lights is beyond me, it's so much better than the normal on/off LED.
@666necrobutcher666 In my opinion that's the only thing I don't like about my milwaukee drill. Afterglow is such a nice feature. Other than that it's a great product.
the drill is great but the second you leave the battery's out in the cold their done. im really disappointed in Milwaukee for their battery choices. Ive probably lost three battery's to the cold. be careful not to leave them in the cold!!!
That is the same with all batteries though. When they are cooled to subfreezing conditions they tend to be less effective until they are charged up or warmed up again. That can happen with any company's batteries. I'm guessing that you are a Dewalt fan and you might have had one bad experience with a Milwaukee too. I have all Milwaukee tools and I've left them in my shed on the coldest of nights with no unexpected problems or failure.
I have friends that have had v28 go to the cold, also Ive had dewalt 36v go to the rain,so its relay my fault i don't take my stuff inside at the end of the day
I agree with rugm31. Makita does have a better driver. But Milwaukee offers an entire line of mini tools to go with their M12 battery. Makita only has 2, a drill and a driver. I can give up 50 in-lbs of torque for the versatility of the M12 battery.
Makita cant compete with Milwaukee, with the Milwaukee you get a better warranty on tool and battery, better chuck, battery indicator and you can actually find extra batteries for sale.
Is the charger 220V also?
