  • I love how they show all the scouts and the colleges go after him in this movie

  • damn ray can barely guard denzel washington~no wonder he cant guard Kobe in the playoffs!!

  • This reminds me, My dad was a Marine, so He always and still does show me tough love when it comes to everything lol.

  • denzel wanted a real 1 on 1 with ray allan but alan coudnt incase of injury it was in hes contract

    plus denzel can really play

  • beautiful

  • This part of the movie.....made me forgive my father for being a fuckup/asshole.

Nobody's perfect, and the father son thing is like a cycle. If you don't forgive , you'll continue the cycle of destruction. That was the final lesson the father taught the son.

  • Follow me on Twitter OmarSODMG

  • Ray Allen is my favorite player...he may not be much of an actor...but 'He still Got Game'

  • Personally I have never envied any one. Not having something that some else has motivates me to be.

  • Hate greed and envy:all personified throughout the movie in many different forms. Let us not forget lust. All human beings at one point in their life become consumed by any and all of these emotion, so sad what we do to one another.

  • Everyone needs some Jesus!

  • you wanna take that LoJack off? It don't come off son. lol

  • d up jake, ha ha

  • the movie was great but the ending killed it.come on it didnt say how long jake got in prison, and if jesus made it to the nba,or if he forgived his father, dont get me wrong i love the movie,i own it,its just the ending i think was wack.

  • @smellyburger18 dont u think they should have made a sequel

  • i want this movie to come out on Blue ray

  • @TJ1203 Great movies don`t need HD. I still watch this movie on VHS

  • How did Ray get the ball at 2:57 ?

  • Hell yeah, I use to always think the game they played was real. LIke at 2:11 when Denzel just jacks it up. Like that doesn't look scripted. Then look at rays face 2:30, "ITS YO BALL!!!" LOL! Denzel started showboating and taken laps. Like Ray was a lil mad. "WE GON CUT OUT ALL THAT LUCKY SHIT." lol! The game just don't look scripted. The trash talk, all of it, great film.

  • me podrian decir en que pagina o donde puedo encontrar los links para descargar esta excelente pelicula???

  • Denzel rockin that prison fro hahaha

  • Its nice to see Denzel hoop!!

  • this part was sad

  • has anyone ever noticed there are not many father son films like this one. Its all about the mother nowadays.

  • You guys didn't watch the movie at all lol

He forgave his dad seeing through the basketball, but it was too late.

In a way, what happened happened for a reason because Jesus was going to be a NBA prospect.

  • this movie is good

  • YOUR KNEES ARE WEAK OLD MAN

  • whys his dad gettin arrested in da end

  • he got released from prison for a week for killing his wife to see if his son would sign a letter of intent to play at the govenor of nys alma mater. his son beats him, he doesnt sign the letter, he goes back to jail.

  • He never got his kid to sign the letter of intent ...

  • the warden set him up, they tricked him.

  • "Stick a fork in him,he's done"

  • how did jesus' dad get those jordans

  • he got money for necessities for the week (like toothpaste, shampoo, etc) he spend a majority of it on new MJ's though haha, what a badass huh

  • I agree about the music.. it's a Spike Lee thing!!!

  • the background music is one of the best things in this movie.

  • This my movie...

  • that's a really nice streetball court

  • yeah, thats the garden in coney island.

  • ray allen baby

  • Yeah this film goes right up there with Love & Basketball as two of the best basketball films ever made without doubt! Above the Rim was good too & Hoop Dreams was quite an interesting documentary. White Men Can't Jump, though a comedy, also had a strong message: don't determine a person's b-ball skillz by their apperance. You got to see them in action first! Blue Chips focused on the same criteria as Hoop Dreams: college recruiting. Air Up There was cool too: showing foreigners learn the game.

  • this is such a good scene and a great movie

  • lol i like the Mad Tv Parody

  • nah that version was what the parody said: GAY.

  • Love the movie

  • You kno they played for real. The script originally called for Jesus to win 11-0. But when they came to shoot the scene, Spike decided to let them play for real, and just filmed it. So what you see is a legit game between Ray and Denzel.

  • ya, i heard denzel didn't wanna go down 11-0 and surprised ray. such a better scene this way - a lot more suspense - maybe my favorite scene from any sports movie - "i aint giving up. i can take a loss. i'm teaching, son, like i always taught you."

  • Hey, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. I was wondering why most of the shots Denzil made were off the backboard when I watched this movie. Denzil's got game if he could go up against Ray like that, ever watch Pros against Joes? Regular pick up athletes always get owned by retired pros.

  • this was an awesome scene

  • CLASSIC.

  • 4:10 was hot as shit

  • "what you lookin around for? that's game, 11-5...jake! somebody call a stretcher! stick a fork in him, he's done!"

  • allen was monotone in this whole movie....

  • does anyone know where exactly this court is located at?

  • I love how Jesus/Walther Ray Allen looked around before putting his gold down. Thats real.

  • hahahah "whoops his ass"

  • awesome fuckin movie

  • I love you Ray Allen!!! GO CELTICS BEAT LA!!!

    jEsUs sAvEs!

  • amazing movie. spikes a genius and ray allen and the celtics will beat the lakers

  • Anybody notice that the music sounds almost exactly like the music from The Natural?

  • Could be but I believe the composer is Aaron Copland, the great American composer who was from Brooklyn just like Spike.

  • jesus shuttle worth !!!!!!!!!!

  • holy shit is that really denzel playing ball?

    he's crazy good

  • amazing sequence.

  • love the commentary at the beginning, lol

  • for those of you who dont really like basketball...

this scene is just like the final battle in 300...

one of the most amazing scenes to watch in a movie like this

  • enny1 kno wat darius miles played in?

  • okay i looked it up. darius played in "the perfect score" 2004 thank god for wikipedia

  • thanks

  • hard ass movie

  • it's funny people are making fun of denzel after the movie, but in real life he never killed anyone.

  • ray allen was really suppose to beat denzel 11-0 but denzel actually socred on ray and spike lee told them to just go with it i like this ending better den ray beating denzel 11-0 dis the real deal for those who didnt kno

  • One of the deepest Spike Lee joints.

  • that Ray, my favorite ball-player ever

  • anyone know the name of the song when denzel threw the ball to his son at the end of the movie when he's shooting threes in the empty gym.

  • i think you're talking about the song He Got Game by Public Enemy

  • Same thing i did to my pops when i was in high school...whooped that monkey deadbeat ass!!

  • lol

  • call me crazy but i have watched this movie like over 100 times

  • There are a whole lot of crazy people out there bro'!

  • Look Denzel face at the end, his acting is pure GOLD ! GOAT !!!

  • @denzelwash06

I agree. That face at the end was phenomenal. He can act better not saying anything than most people can act speaking.

    ~ea$y~

  • Just to add to that. Buy Aaron copland's album period; Spike took a lot of music from Appalachian Spring and a little from Billy the Kid. Highly recommended album to go with a highly recommended film. That's coming from a hip hop lover :D

  • hehehe danzel's ass got ripped

  • well obviously denzel got owned, hes up against ray allen for christ sake

  • He lost on purpose! He was winning until he stopped playing D! Spike has the best endings in his movies if you think about it.

  • I am a Spike Lee Fan, All the way. I love this dude. I wish I could meet him. *It's gotta be the shoes. Bow-legged self. (Spike hit me up)

  • GAMETYME!!!!!! dats game 11 to 5
