  • Thank goodness for (relatively) low humidity huh? Even from Orlando, this is pretty quality. I always like the "launch from a distance" videos for some reason. Maybe because it's a perspective I never get to see in person.

  • Thanks for the video! Surprised you can actually see the SRB's from Orlando! Cool. I did see one of the early shuttles launch in late '81 or early '82 from Orlando. I was at the Naval Training Center. Gotta get down to the Cape for one of the last two launches. Never have seen any, although a space buff since Apollo 14.

  • Don't you just love how that plume keeps expanding even after the shuttle is long gone :)

  • @CEVOrion I love the plumes - each one is like a fingerprint or signature of the launch, and the winds shift them around for that "final touch". I skipped over STS 131 - I have beautiful stills from the "sunrise launch" - the plume looks like a bald eagle ! (I'll get to work on the editing). Compliments from people like you is "what it's all about !!
