One of the few things I can actually thank Microsoft Vista for. hehe. Adding Mr. Koite and his completely unique guitar tuning had really brought me appreciation for him and his music.

I've met Habib multiple times and seen him play both with Bamada and by himself. Last year I got the privilege to sing with him. He is a wonderful man. His work to prevent AIDS is inspiring.

We just saw Habib Koite and Bamada play (again) at Humboldt State U. He said they still have 5 weeks on tour-so don't miss! Amazing players, great sound, great stage presence and humor, such complex rhythms but flows easy. Love it. BTW, that's Keletigui Diabate on balafon-worth the price just to see the bala master in person!
