Really, tell me how it isn't then master. I know ID use SVO for ID TECH5 (Mega Texture). I know 3d Coat uses Voxels for their sculpting. You can LOD them really well. You obviously can't animate in a traditional method but this is close to how you would animate. It has animation, sure it might be using the voxelizer but he's still animated it and it would represent how it would look if using voxel octrees. MRI scans and Xrays now sometimes use them... Memory efficient they are.
@Capeau Protip: When you're trying to take a condescending pseudo-intellectual tone, it helps to not misspell words like "dedicate." Good grammar and punctuation are also a plus.
