@kindalynn : hello there you can learn this in twelve months ... . (one) play it slowly and always in exact time ... (two) ,,, analyse the arm; wrist; and finger movements - a helpful guide here is the book by J Gat "The Technique of Piano Playing" ... (three) ... spend an equal amount of time analysing the harmonics and general design of the piece ... (four) ... at the same time carefully work at the Moonlight Sonata third movement in a very careful fashion ... (five) ... work at the C sharp ma
@kindalynn jor prelude and fugue ... book one of Bach ... (six) ... make a comparative study of the three pieces ... (seven) ... always work at 100% CONCENTRATION and always keep your piano currently in tune so that every time you play you play music !!!!
His fingers are not especially long, I agree, but not very short though (certain girl's fingers are a lot shorter). This etude does not require especially long fingers, but a flexible hand, particularly the thumb.
Although I think you're on the right track, it just goes to show how disciplined your fingers have to be to play this at its best. I'm pretty sure you know what's wrong with it. You need to get down to the root of what's causing these problems and fix them. 6 months and this is going to be fantastic.
...um..no comment. but for real advise, before playing piano, start to listen more classic music, and also change your attitude. Even you miss notes, I know ! yes of course~, but even you miss 50 %of it, its still not gonna be okay. Try listen and understand more.
You did a good job, its not like you're playing video game tunes. Awesome performance, shows you have what it takes. I could've used a little more cowbell.. just kidding....
I hear: mistakes (loads of them), almost no pedal, little dynamic change and most of all, no emotion at all. You should work on those mistakes by practicing those part at a slower tempo.
Thank you so very much. This is my favorite piano piece. I am in awe of such wonderful musicianship. I have never watched anyone play this piece. I was fascinated by what I saw. Thank you again!
It sounds perfect the way it was played but if you can, just for fun, play it faster O.o it must be seriously hard tho. I cant play the first bar on that etude =[
good job. i was expecting this to be crap, but it wasn't. I'm working on this and im about at that stage. Still needs to be a bit faster, keep up the good work
Awesome! very good attempt. I don't know how people can critizie you,, they should provide a link to a video of them playing it better if they think they can.
awesome job. i love chopin. i used to know how to play his etude in c minor, but it's been a couple of years since i have touched that piece. i am currently learning his polonaise in Ab major. it's fun.
Great jobe, but dude, just looking at your wrists makes me shiver, I don't know how that feels playing, but it looks uncomfortable. They seem to be at 90 degree angles at times. Try sitting back a little with more arm movement.
... a bit on the bwilliant side ...

lol his fingers look tiny ONLY because its just just curved and the camera angle is from above. Also, the piano have long keys. Im jealous.
I actually have tiny finger =(
kmagellan87 3 years ago
Yeah, I Mean Chopin also had "velvet fingers" as Sand(Chopin's Lover) told him. :)

um... u don't use the pedal...?
and really.. i agree wit Bouboule52...
show some emotions
darkangel0413 4 years ago
actually pedal was added by editors and Chopin's own manuscript cited there was no pedal so i think no pedal sounds nicer ^^

Bouboule52 it's hard enough without emotions....
