  • Hi--my daughter is going to do jumpstart here in Florida in couple of weeks. I've never heard of it until her coach mentioned it. It sounds like a lot of fun. I will send you a private message in a few minutes.

  • Why is it called "jump start"?! I mean, you're doing it a little bit longer, don't you? You're quite good in trampoline jumping, so...

  • USA gymnastics came up with the name. I presume it refers to giving young athletes (under 13) who are identified as at the top of the nation a jump start on elite status by giving them a special training camp. It's cute that "jump" is part of it.

    This was a test to qualify for the special training camp. The Jumpstart "team" did an exhibition at the 2009 National Competition in San Jose.

    My daughter made the team and took 2nd place double-mini at nationals!
