Not a wise idea. For one thing, their nutritional requirements are different. Mice are generally fed store-bought feed mixes, while the best concoction for a gerbil should include only a few sunflower seeds(mouse food is filled to the brim with sunflower seeds). Sunflower seeds are fattening. But the rest should be Oxbow's Healthy Handfuls for Hamsters and Gerbils that is a barley and oat feed. Gerbils should only be fed sunflower seeds as treats - they should never constantly be exposed to them

(continued) Gerbils are also food junkies. If you're feeding them mouse food, they'll gorge themselves on the seeds, when they derive their main nutrition from the oats and barley. Also, gerbils are notorious for loosing their teeth.
