Thanks -- true, they go pretty fast; at the highest speed they can easily derail at sharp curves... It helps if they are heavier. Also, the number of cars connected to the engine directly affects the speed of the train.
your welcome. it sound like the 9 volt one. At least they did not lower the speed with the RC one. I have a lego train the 9 volt one if it goes to fast it derails and the more cars the slower it gets.
lego could put ore motors on those and make them heavier it could go even faster. But thanks for the video now i know that the RC train is a good train.
Nice setup, nrny06! Is the lego setup a permanent fixture in your home? Currently, that's one thing I don't have a luxury of...yet. Something I usually do is just keep the camera rolling and then just spend time editing and finding the best clips. As we all have lives we can't invest too much time in a simple Youtube video but I guess I always ask myself, would a particular segment even be worth watching to a youtube viewer. Let me know when your next lego video comes out!
Thanks ;-) At this point it is sort of a permanent fixture -- for more than 4 months now! I like the remote control capability of RC trains. Tracks go behind the TV stand/ under the couch -- not to interfere with circulation. Soon I'm planning to incorporate 12v gray and blue tracks/ trains from my childhood. I need to figure out if I can connect those tracks with the RC tracks. I've seen some suggestions online that connect tracks from different eras. I'll post more videos when I do that.
