My dad just built a similar motor, used the 5.3 big bore steel block and put a 2.3 Whipple on it and we are having a heck of a time getting a proper tune with it. With C-16 fuel it dynod 650 rwhp on a mustang dyno in Vancouver, and we still can't hit 10's at the track. Also getting some S/C belt slippage at higher rpms... Try some different belt and pulley combos in the springtime I guess! Great vid!

I wish I knew when the stock trans went, I remember reading the article and it was on the stock tranny. This is exactly what I want to do to my 06 GT.
