  • I'm a native English speaker, but I too think English sounds pretty weird. (Spanish has a better flow and more consistent sound/vowel)

  • Sounds German to me.

  • Hah that's cute. So that's what we sound like...

  • wow! it really was pretty interesting to know how us as english speakers sound to foreign language speakers :)

  • So I sound like a mix of some sort of African tribal language and a little French, cool.

  • I swear I heard "waffle" lol

  • this is actually kinda interesting...

  • @gripgrlz yeah like have you every tryed to speak chines but you were just fucking around its like that but reverse lmfao weird

  • he's speaking it with an accent so it doesn't count

  • xD

    English is so loud!

I'll take that as a compliment!

    !!!!!!

  • English MOFO! Do you speak it!?

  • Ten years ago I spent a year in Mexico, and when I was there little kids would often come up to me and say things that made absolutely no sense to me. They sounded just like this kid in the video, and now I realize what they were doing was that they were trying to speak English to me.

  • I couldn't understand a single word, naturally, but the kid made up for it by his enthusiasm!

  • psh, sometimes thats what I hear when y professors lecture during class

  • pretty good!

  • This is really entertaining. I can definitely see where he gets his impressions of the language. It also sounded, to me, that near the end he was "quoting" from a tv show. I could have sworn I heard him say, "Next time, watch..."

  • lo-lo-la-lo? rapadapadap? ok now he's just making shit up.

  • @Kidzilla99 lmbooooo

  • I have friends that get less intelligible on a Friday night.

  • I love how animated and LOUD english is! :D

  • haha sounds similar to what my japanese cousin did when i asked her what english sounds like to her xD

  • I think this is spanish

  • When i was 9 than i could speak english very well. Btw im Estonian ;)

  • @sampflyingknife Must have been all that Vanilla Ninja you listened to. :P

  • @ChanningR Lolz :D Nope :P

  • Is he speaking Simolean, the language of the Sims from Sim City?

  • @briitaanee simoleons are money, wasn't the language simlish

  • @Turksemployee Well spotted. :)

  • uhm what is he trying to say? I really can't understand him at all it's more like Naruto fight grunts than any words i can make out =D definitely more japanese than INGRESH=P

What i heard is... der ownyar-soflak-o-blo/a ck table(?) aruxan lohlohlado nes-sab-dab-blahblahblah thats enough nonsense for one post lol =D

  • @Mongoes799 the point is that he cant speak english at all, yet is imitating what english sounds like to him

kinda like how chinese sounds like ching chong wan blah blah blah to us

  • wow this is amazing i always wanted to know what english sounds like to non english speaking. Just like how french sounds like eh toi jai ve e an u bensoir, or chinese- ching chang chung

  • lol Fruit PIE!!! 0:25

  • This is the the English equivalent to what English speakers think Asian languages sound like. He's basically saying "Ching chong." X-D

  • I wish we talked like this

  • Damn....do we really yell when we speak?

  • what in the hell did that lil fucka jus try to say?

  • isnt this the kid from the asian sponge bob commercial? look it up. lmao.

  • Hey - I recognize that ! That is Chris Tucker from Rush Hour 1, 2 & 3. That's impressive, little buddy.

  • One interesting thing I noticed is that mostly all of his words end in a vowel. In Japanese pretty much all words end in a vowel or an n.

  • Exactly what I have been searching for! An imitation of English by someone who doesn't speak it. Fascinating! so this is what I sound like.

  • @lewiszim For a super awesome fake English song, search "Prisencolinensinainciusol "

  • @Masamage I've seen that. It is awesome!

  • @lewiszim seriously....is he trying to speak "rap type english".? I am trying to figure out what he is using as a model for this attempt at english

  • I thought this was very cute! :D

  • Honestly sounds like english. I heard actually words. Like fruit pie, mexico, english and blow.

  • Could be worse, he could be trying to imitate Norwegians. :)

  • R-r-r-r-r-rocku- TABLE

  • "haters provide our next waterway!"

  • I've always been so curious about this! Interestinggg.

  • ROW ROW ROW....row~

  • Sounds like Simlish.

  • @molewizard haha exactly

  • Very close. At his age, this is when they can pick up another language quite easily.

  • sounds like all my teachers after I discovered handheld games

  • cute kid :3

  • That's what my friends say when I talk to them in English after they force me. -_-

  • From the Old english (English they spoke like 1000 years) I heard on youtube, it somewhat reminded of that. look up :beowulf old english, and tell me what you think, for a heads up, to me it sorta sounds (old english) like a fine cross between Icelandic and German.

  • ROCK PAPER

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • also- u peoples are right- this does sound simlishey.

  • no, this is the language they speak in the sims...

  • can u sub this video too ChanningR? lol

  • chon chan chin? nguyen chun chan fried rice chin chon jackie chan

  • reminds me of the sims

  • @irkelster Haha ikr?

  • Whatts hilarious about this is that when we mimic Asian languages it sounds like " ching ching chong king ku ching chu chow chung chung" its great to hear the other side of the story! :D

  • Thats deffinitely what we sound like!

  • OMG!!! Relaxe people theres nothing racist about what the little boy is doing! My daughters play dressup and pretend the're french and put on fake accents and use made up words. Nothing is wrong with that. My 5 yr old heard someone speaking spanish, she started to mimic what she heard. I told her not to do that and she said "why? It sounds pretty" We need to just calm down and stop making everything a racial issue. FYI I'm Black :-)

  • cool I heard wattle

  • @Mezzanotte619 Are you sure? I'm pretty sure he said "waffle".

  • hahaha adorable! <3

  • lol. I heard Fruit pie in there... And brow

  • He sounds like a sim =D

  • 0:05 DERP! DERP! DERP! =)

  • ......i thought of the sims throughout the whole video

  • he's so wierd LOL

  • This video just proves that an Japanese kid trying to speak English sounds like a Japanese kid trying to speak English

  • Hahahaha! As a native English speaker here, I can say that it does have the English feel, that gibbersh. I always wondered what my language sounded like to non native speaker's ears...

  • he sounds german somewhat xD

  • ENGRISH!!!

  • It sure is great to be white, lol... Right? Not all places are like that...not all Japanese are racist, and not everything can be pinned on the military.... To my understanding... Japan was a closed border country until the end of ww2. Now they are still trying to get used to it... Lol.

  • I kinda agree with Guam... I'm a white guy and I've been living in japan since '02... While I've never once seen a "no____" (fill in your fav race there ;) ) sign posted , there are a great many places that will not allow gaijin access into their business, restaurant, etc... "gaijin, da me!"... With their arms up in an X mark... :/, not racist??? Lololololol

  • @paytyt Thank our respectful military for that! I've met my fair share of racist Japanese people, but same thing goes for Americans. If anything, I met more people who wanted to talk to me because I am white. I don't think most Japanese people could bust into a karaoke room filled with Japanese people and be welcomed with open arms. I however am.

  • @ChanningR Read that again and tell me if it makes sense.

"I don't think most Japanese people could bust into a karaoke room filled with Japanese people..." what?

  • @TheUltraDude See, there is a room with Japanese people, then other Japanese people go into it. Read English much? The sentence is perfectly grammatical and of a sensible nature. Japanese people going into other Japanese people's karaoke rooms = not okay, but Americans going into Japanese people's karaoke room = okay.

  • @ChanningR Ooookay then, calm down, Stephen. Your mom will be home soon.

  • @ChanningR

what?!?!? so Japanese people hate other Japanese people while singing horribly?

  • @TheUltraDude Alow me to translate... Hes Japanese and thinks hes American but thinks Americans are Japanese, understand?

  • @ChanningR sorry, don't wanna cause a thing but why do I keep hearing people refer to the Japanese as non-whites? I thought it was obvious that japanese people are white? I keep hearing that.

  • @blackoutninja I don't even know how to respond to this?

  • @ChanningR well? would you refer to a Japanese person as a non-white?

  • @blackoutninja Caucasian (white), People of African decent (black), and Asian are all different races, buddy.

  • @ChanningR right, get it now, cheers.

see if only all those times people had made the distinction between Japanese and non-Japanese they had used the word 'Caucasian' instead of White, wouldda made a difference, lol.

  • GTFO

  • did he learn watching the boondocks?

  • (incoherent) ROCK TABLE! (incoherent) DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN.. Rock and roll... Popcorn... Get in our car, riiiide body! Power waddle, y tu? (haha, English to Spanish)... HIDE THE... fruit pie. (incoherent) Engrish! Row row row! ... Row?

  • thats not racist, when i was small i sounded like that when i wanted to speak english..

  • That's pretty funny. I'm glad the people who think this is racist never saw me when I was 9 years old and trying to imitate Japanese.

  • HAHAHAHA! Lock and Loll rittle dude! LOCK AND LOLL!

  • i dont see why some people call this racist, i mean, he's just stereotyping a language for christs sake-_-' I mean, this is totaly like what englis hsounded to me when i didnt speak english yetxD

  • Look at it this way, when they don't have a paranoid government, or sensitive media, no one tells them racism, or any prejudice, is wrong. Who's going to come along and give them a slap on the wrist for doing this? Their parents? They think the same thing.

  • @uber1337shaman Why would anyone tell them it is wrong to speak how they think English sounds. There is nothing racist or prejudice about it, unless you don't understand what those words mean.

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds more like Italian to me

  • I don't think the boy is being racist at all. Hes just relaying back what he hears. I have heard many ppl speak "mock, spanish, cantonese, japanese, french" and non of them were being racist. They were just repeating what they think they heard. I've also done it myself on occasion and I"m not racist in the least.

  • ahahaha

    0:07 - DERP DERP DERP

  • ????

  • That really is English (after 6 shots and 10 beers).

  • @MaxCovington543 True. LOL

  • Wow! l would NEVER know that was supposed to be English. Interesting to hear how fake English sounds.

  • Sounds like the Sims' language a little. XD

  • delu myazaz sk guglak katay mofe, ah lick shta, lolo jyalu, misanbo tapu tapu tapu laksht, rn kilalow, kow kow korla, puta buta kang, taylalulalay detsum filo, toom powlo wato a too tetrof, owachoo haydo, provide hon nats, nextra wato waya aruxado, ingrish, laxa proomla row wow rlow, plaboo

  • interesting

  • he is totally cute. Tell him an american girl thinks he's totally kawaii. xD

  • dont sound english

  • I understood... EVERYTHING!!

  • @tk20028

maybe you wanna check your head? xD

  • awww this is cute :3

  • LMAO!!! wow!! that's funny, i had no idea i sounded like that xD

  • i do not sound like that!... Okay, maybe i do

  • How is this racist? It is the same thing that an American (child or not) might do to imitate a foreign language. Can you honestly say that you never made sounds that you thought sounded Chinese, Japanese, or any other language? Just to imitate out of fun? I have tons of times, and I've heard tons of other people do the same thing. Not to be racist, just out of fun, or because it's funny how different it sounds.

  • Dude...funny.

  • Wow! Wow! Wow!

    ...Wow?

  • D'awwwww he said "rock n' roll" and "engrish" :D

  • D'aaaww, what a cute kid. XD

  • This is so cute. HAHA.

  • guys your reading into this way too deeply...if you asked an american kid to speak in a foreign language they didn't know, they would kust make sounds like those commonly used in the other language. i don't think this is rascist, it's cute and funny

  • Awww, he's so cute <3

I remember when I was that age and I was faking Japanese!

LOL, I still do! x) Such a darling.

  • Yeah...Now try a Brooklyn accent.

  • he said "fun" wohoo :D

  • sounds german

  • LOL, this is exactly what i hear when I hear a different language than English! XP

It's like....blah blah blah..something, something, weirdo mutterings, and whatnot.

  • Swedish?

  • Ya need to learn to make certain consonantal sounds before you can fake it, little one.

  • lol sounds a bit like a drunk person speaking XD still probably better than if i were to attempt to impersonate japanese lol

  • lol how cute!

he looks like a non-shark shark boy! from that movie!

  • this kid is AMAZING.

  • so cute!

  • my uncle told me english sounds like simlish(: this kids cute though

  • TABLE

  • This is really good!! Although he's not making much sense haha :)

It's weird people think he's being racist. That's how people learn to speak other languages, get comfortable mastering the accent and tones - babies do the same thing through babbling. It's interesting to know how other people hear our language, American's do it all the time. But they're the racist one's always saying that ching-chong-chang crap (talk about how racist americans can be and leave this kid alone)

  • @terrifaith08 I would give you five more thumbs up if I could :P

  • Sounds like KAT-TUN when they try to sound cool by speaking English.

  • He said "aaaaaa -ple pie!"

  • you dont say?

  • This is so cute. I found it humorous, fairly accurate. LOL

  • this is adorable ^_^

  • LOL this is funny! What is everyone talking about?! I always wanted to know what English sounds like to people from other countries.

  • lol

This is exactly what english sounded like to me when i was that agexD(and I'm from pretty much the other sde of the world)

  • not bad sir, I like to play video games too.

  • Only racist and self centered foreigners suck.

  • Actually, that does sound like Simlish.

  • he would be embrassed later when he and his wife, children watching this! lol!

  • it sounds Italian....

  • THATS PRETTY FUNNY. i always wondered how "english" would sound when being made fun of lol

  • haha that's cute

  • Yeah, he's pretty much spot on.

  • Well UHM YOU UH... JAFALAFA KOKOLA

  • Sounds like Simglish.

  • baba du budi pibi du baba bubudu baba

    youtube.com/watch?v=9JhuOicPFZY

  • haha this sounds like french in the beginning.

  • What did he just say about your mom?!

  • If it really sounds this awful why is it so popular in Asian countries? Especially in countries like Japan who use it alot?

  • If this is the way that English sounds it must be the ugliest language in the world!! Got I hope it doesnt really sound like this

  • @lordblazer Blacks are trying to get into france... no self respecting white person would clamor to enter France. Good Lord the thought of it. If the French are deporting their negores, then perhaps they have some modicum of reason left in their febrile system.

Are you a negro that has immigrated to europe?

  • @cobraschlange

so wait what's wrong with black people? do you think they're subhuman? even so there are plenty of eastern europeans, and white americans going to france... even asians... france is becoming multicultural... I dunno but what is your problem with black people? do you think you're better than them?

  • @lordblazer "Becoming multicultural" are you mad? The french are from Celt, Teutonic,Latin(spanish) Arabic,Norman blood . My good chap, the french are the most multi-cultural ""white folks " on the continent. Exactly the reason they are so flighty and unpredictable. Not well bred the French.

As to your station in life, i merely asked if you were a negro. If one can find a bother in such triviality, then where's the silver lining?

  • @cobraschlange

lol your mind would explode if you knew there were asians that are from france, africans, middle-easterners etc.. I'm not a negro. I'm a human coming from African descent. No, I don't live in Europe. Born and raised in the USA. But reading your post, you don't seem to come from a highly educated background. If you are, you can go practice your social-darwinism elsewhere, and yea I've spent time in europe, lived in turkey, lived in asia, etc, I'm an expat, not an immigrant. fool

  • @lordblazer EXACTLY lordblazer, centered the hammer and driven the nail you have. The ladies and gentlemen of the board bow and curtsy in recognition of your superior analytical mind.

  • America is the best, everybody knows it. Germany, and England second, Australia third, France is tied with north korea for last.
