Berkey uses activated alumina in their fluoride removal cartridges. I've tested them using a fluoride colorimeter and found only about 50% reduction in fluoride. I looked into it further, and found other factors compete with fluoride for absorption, like hard water. If you have a water softener, the extra salt will clog the black Berkey elements. Berkey are good for camping/survival, but not practical for fluoride removal. You need reverse osmosis with deionization for complete fluoride removal.

The fluoride most commonly used in drinking water (Fluorosilicic acid) is safe at levels of 1mg/L or less. At this concentration it has been proven to reduce the risk of cavities especially in children.
There is no conclusive evidence connecting it to any ill effects, except in extremely large doses. Grow up and learn how to read studies.

Buy hydrologically distilled water from a reputable retailer. It is 100% pure water and is the healthiest water you can drink. Don't let anyone try to convince you that it takes out the minerals in the tap water. if there were any minerals in tap, the pipes that supply that water would become totally unusable due to the minerals sticking to the pipe walls and eventually limiting the flow of water to an unmanageable low volume, even to blocking the flow entirely.

Fluoride is also bad in toothpaste. At first it will seem to be helpful in preventing cavities, but given time it will harm the teeth. You're better off using a mixture of iodized salt & baking soda on a wet brush, the add a few drops of peroxide. That actually kills germs.

@DeathnoteBB as far as I know, it has little to do with DMT, but through the introduction of unnatural substances (sweeteners, MSG, refined sugar), we have calicified the pineal gland even further..which keeps it from producing DMT and other naturally occuring chemicals. Sunlight and a good clean diet will help the operation of the gland. This is what I know, but I'm no specialist, so do research on it :)

@Livefreerevolution Fluoride is a co-product of certain industries. Some fluorides are toxic, some are very toxic, others aren't. The fluoride most commonly used in drinking water (Fluorosilicic acid) is safe at levels of 1mg/L or less. At this concentration it has been proven to reduce the risk of cavities especially in children.
There is no conclusive evidence connecting it to any ill effects, except in extremely large doses. Grow up and learn how to read studies.

@intermilansg MSDS looks at 100% concentrations. A lot of stuff can kill you when they're in huge doses. But the fluoride in water is 1mg/L or less. NOTHING can be gained by looking at the MSDS, there's no comparison there.
Fluoride in drinking water has been studied for over 50 years by dozens upon dozens of different countries and institutions. To believe that fluoride is dangerous is to believe a conspiracy that involves tens if not hundreds of thousands of scientists. Utter bullshit.

@01eximius I do read studies, and this is what I found: Fluorosilicic acid is a waste product of the phosphate fertilizer industry and is heavily contaminated with toxins and heavy metals (including the cancerous arsenic, lead and cadmium) and radioactive materials. This substance is the waste residue from the superphosphate fertilizer industry, and about 70 to 75 percent of this stuff comes from the Cargill fertilizer manufacturing company. It is not "safe" as you espouse.

Buy hydrologically distilled water from a reputable retailer. It is 100% pure water and is the healthiest water you can drink. Don't let anyone try to convince you that it takes out the minerals in the tap water. if there were any minerals in tap, the pipes that supply that water would become totally unusable due to the minerals sticking to the pipe walls and eventually limiting the flow of water to an unmanageable low volume, even to blocking the flow entirely.

Fluoride is also bad in toothpaste. At first it will seem to be helpful in preventing cavities, but given time it will harm the teeth. You're better off using a mixture of iodized salt & baking soda on a wet brush, the add a few drops of peroxide. That actually kills germs.
