Saluda Dam Railroad Bridge - a haunted place in Upstate South Carolina

Me and my mom were the ones who reported the man hanging I mean I'm sure someone else did to though but yea crazy shit and I wanna find out if the lake is haunted because there was a plane that crashed in it

I live right down the lake all my life and i have never heard anything like that. Also the bridge in still in use today u can hear the train late at night.

My sister lived about 200 yards from there ! About 10 years ago we were on our way back from Easley and there were lots of car on the side of the road so we pulled over to see waht was going on and to the far left of the tressel ,there was a man hanging by a rope.It was the worst thing I have ever seen.We both felt sick.Thats all I can think about now every time I drive by the tressel.

I have been at that dam before because I had famil that lived close to it people say if you go there at night you can where people talking and that you can hear a train and yes I have herd it before.

They need to do some major work on that Bridge!!!! Rust is not good especially when you have that many Trains running there. The joints are probably rusted too and that isn't good. Hope they do something soon. Great Video!!!

I live about 4 miles form this bridge and have a friend who lives right by it I see hes already posted a comment!, Its 7/2/2010 today and yup its still in use. Wasn't aware it was haunted! now I want to go see if I can catch some orbs on camera! :)

The railroad is still VERY MUCH in use. It is the Crescent route between Louisianna and D.C. I' ll post a video for you.

Matter of fact, this bridge has been in use since 1916, when they replaced the original structure. There is another trestle West of this one, also. It is visible now with the leaves gone.

yes, turn onto saluda dam road from off of whitehorse road. the dam will be to your right and the bridge is to your left

I believe this bridge is actually still in use. That's the main railroad between Easley and Greenville. I used to live about a mile or so away from the dam, and the railroad ran right past our house.
