A play error costed tempered steel the win. Instead of buried ruining for a vault skirge, shoulda went for the glint hawk idol which would have not only survived inferno Titan, but would have flown over for the last damage

@KlotzProductions Just as a note, he used the Mox Opal for a black source of mana to cast his Vault Skirge when he didn't have metalcraft activated.

It hurt watching Jason play... He had you dead on board and was like "I'll just crack my shrine on my turn so you can remove everything at sorcery speed, oh also I'll play 2 more creatures." He also payed life on a vault skirge turn 3 when he could use opal and then later used opal on it when he had no other artifacts...

The Tempered Steel player should've died sooner - He used his Mox Opal to avoid paying the life for the last Vault Skirge he top decked, but Metalcraft wasn't online so he couldn't have.

@McSmoofable I totally just realized that without the mox he HAS to pay 2 life to cast the skirge because it is black phyrexian mana instead of white... DOH!!!

Should have recovered the shrine with that buried ruin. Curious as to why you're playing black sun's zenith over slagstorm? I guess it gets around protection, and won you the game in this scenario but slagstorm seems better overall, you wouldn't have gotten that low :p

@KyleDubstep I run 2 slagstorm and 1 zenith main. And yes, it is because of things like protection. Zenith also kills Thrun, the last Troll who is a pain to deal with.

What an awesome comeback, your deck really need that snapcaster, it would be sick with all your spot removals, does your deck include forbidden alchemy? does grix control use that?

@wild7munks1 I do not run the alchemy. I think some Grixis may, though it is more common in Blue/Black. And yes, snapcaster is good, but also expensive and I don't have them. I would probably play Blue/Black if I had him and Liliana ;)
