Why do people just throw this stuff away? If the hard drive hasn't been wiped out and formatted, you can sometimes find some "embarrassing" things in their browser history that may come back to haunt them.
They must have sorted them out of the mainstream trash and planned to sell them on the second hand market for new use or recycling/salvaging of useable parts. You can find some amazing things at the dump sometimes.

Dude, using The windows performance utility as a benchmark isn't very intelligent. Even something like PCmark or Sisoft Sandra would be 10x better and more comprehensive.
Man you are so lucky. I watched the first trash picked laptops also and now you have more! Wish I could find laptops like that, especially the red Dell.

i have a inspiron 6400 on vista and use it for steam (specifficaly portal and portal 2). IT WORKS GREAT!!

8400 GS on the xps is faster than the 8200m, Only way the 8200 could pull infront if it had ddr3 graphics memory which i doubt
