It wasn't Jai, it's just Cain being a bastard. I think Cain see it as killing two birds with one stone. He gets to put innocent Jai behind bars and then later he can dish out revenge on the real culprit. And to be fair to all the suspects, they really aren't bad people. Cain did push most of them to the breaking point with the evil things he's done lately. Though I do love Cain's character since Jeff plays him so brilliantly.
Ashley's reasoning is convoluted re: renewing wedding vows IMO. Laurel's thoughts are more reasonable and common sense. Aaron's behavior re: Cain seems unrealistic to me. Yes, I know Cain has helped him in the past, but his feelings for Cain appear to me to be exaggerated. WRITERS please bring Flynn back as a mate and perhaps future love interest of Aaron.
I wonder when Zak will come forward... I mean, it's pretty obvious to me that he's the one who attacked Cain and I doubt he'd let Jai go to jail for a crime he committed... Chas and Aaron are acting like foold though... they know Cain and know how he is so they shouldn't take his word for truth!
@Rebeckaaas - No I don't believe it was Jai either. That would be too easy. I have been wracking my brain however, trying to figure out who it might be, and the only one I can come up with his Jai's father (or his mother for that matter) that weren't really accounted for and have a real grudge against Cain. Guess we'll just have to wait and see :)
@huntersnana Could be either Moira or Adam and John takes the rap (hence him leaving) or Amy. Think if it was her and court heard circumstances (just had baby by Cain) they would go easy on her
@caroljaneeyre Wasn't Adam at the pub with Holly when he was beaten up? I don't remember either Amy or Moira appearing to have blood on them, and when you hit somebody like that, likely more than once, you are going to get blood splatter on you from the weapon when you raise it up for the second whack :).....I really think it would have shown up on Moira's lovely blue coat.....now Amy is a good candidate, but isn't she rather obvious too? We shall see :)

@evole1 Ashley is hurt and fed up, Laural has turned out not to be the woman he though, I don't even think it's her having feelings for another man hurts as much as her lying right to face over and over and playing happy family's at home while she was carrying on behind his back. Ashley has been thru this before with Bernice and then he married a woman completly different from her and turns out she wasen't that different.
