Past 25 years, i still dont understand WHY....WHYYYYY doesnt testament had/ve the Mainstream Music reconization after all this years.

Dont get me rong, from the public opinion evry " true metal headbanger " reconize that Testament are a great band, even one of the Big 4 (its better then Antrax,its not even a possible discussion ) so why this Blackout?

@streetwarrior31 they tried with "the ritual", but the lackluster production and chuck's rather weak vocals on an otherwise great album - feat. some of skolnick's best solos - didn't make it a huge success.

their amazing album "low" was released at a time where no one really cared about metal (I remember being the only one at my school back then who was still listening to metal...)

Chucks voice rules all, even his death metal voice puts to shame Corpse Grinder, or Glen Benton, any of them. Listen to Demonic, that whole album crushes anything out there. Wonder why they over dubbed Chucks voice on this, he's singing over what he already recorded.

I would personally put chuck schuldiner in there instead of anselmo, but I guess that is more for his guitar playing than his singing really. I think I am one of the only metalheads who finds anselmo really annoying. Other than that I agree!

yeah the older metallica gets the worse the music gets they just make albums to sell and please the record company on the other hand TESTAMENT just gets better and more polished with their old age they just get better and better the older and more experienced they are and they have always been true to being a metal band metallica is supposed to be a METAL band ya know hence the name METALlica good or bad is a matter of opinion but the facts remain that metallica's music has gotten less metal

Some years ago Chuck Billy was a step before death if u know that... now he is not that young but he proves that Music has nothing to do with the age... instead of Metallica (and i talk for all the members) that has grown much and are about same age as Billy and mates but they just fuck it up... Testament was a fucking great band and they become Giagantic legend of thrash and generally metal... Metallica was great and became one of the most spitted bands ever

The Formation Of Damnation is a great album, Death Magnetic was not... it's that easy.

I like slayer but i have never considered them to be all that talented, with the exception of lombardo. Testament fucking rules so much talent all the way around, they are real musicians. As far as metallica is concerned they are hacks and rob needs to leave them in the dust and get back with mike muir and suicidal tendencies where his talent can be appreciated

Testament is Testament and Slayer is Slayer, you can´t compare both bands, the approach is different...Slayer is more agressive with "shit" lyrics, I think Testament is agressive but more melodic sometimes, and their lyrics are more inteligent, not just shit things about Devil and Satan(there are 10000000 of bands singing about evil, death, horror...I hate this...I´m sick of this..
