Realize Band Update/ DId I have the right surgery?

You sound exactly like I did for almost 6 months after my surgery. My doc insisted that he only put in 1 cc a month after my initial fill. I was getting VERY frustrated. I felt NO restriction. I did consistantly lose weight (51 lbs in 6 mos) because I began a rigorous workout program, and have stuck with it. But I felt that the surgery was a waste, and feared that I would put the weight right back on. That was untill I hit 9.5 cc's It was a whole new world! Get that band filled girl!!!!!!!!

I have not checked my blood sugars. However, I don't think I have a huge problem with it. I need to do an update video. I am now 218. I hope to be under 200 before 2010. =)

Please don't be discouraged. I had the surgery the Realize band Aug 26 and I was 214 the day of surgery. Today I am 193. I know not a big loss however I am a size 14. You are doing GREAT!!!I also work out like crazy. I walk 5 to 8 miles per day and do a stablity ball workout. Also you didnt mention it but IF you have issues with your blood sugars it can cause you to lose VERY slowly. Thats the boat I am in.

I just found out that I have 6 ccs in my band. Eek! However, I am using a measuring cup for everything.

Do you have restriction? It took me a lot more then 2 cc's to get there...and honestly, I don't believe this band works without restriction...fiber choice every day and correctol every other day...works for me..CONGRATS on the size 16!!! We should definately go to the zoo..that sounds fun! And excuse me? 30? you r still a baby...I just turned 41....xoxo Becky

This is a ery eye opening video you made. I am currently in the process of having the Realize band surgery. I just went to my first appoitment with the nurse. Now I'm ust doing the doctor supervised diet bullcrap for 3 months for my insurance to cover the surgery. .
