That was the last kawasaki that had a 4 inline cylinder engine with normal firing order, different from what yamaha m1 has. This bike was dificult to handle because of the nature of the engine. I race at the track and am lucky enough to have several sponsors. At one track day, there were a few moto fp riders on the course. They were literally untouchable by everyone out there. You cant begin to appreciate the skill it takes to handle a mototrcycle around a track until you've done it. And you cant begin to understand the skill these moto gp riders have over you until youve actually been on the track with them. Theres a reason they do it for a living, and we dont.

I like the fact that he does create a fairly exciting possibility of a good crash every once in a while, so I'd keep him in the lineup just for that alone if I was a promoter of the sport. So what if he is running just too close to the limits of his hardware or whatever. We watch ice hockey for the occasional fights so surely we can watch MotoGP for the occasional stuntman style crashes. I say keep him for the sake of the sport.

I think it's a traction issue for Randy. He needs less of it.... If every race was in the rain, he wouldn't complain I bet. Plus he's so well practiced at getting off, he never hurt himself... until last season (in a training accident no less) and wouldn't you know, far less get offs last year. ;)

I'll always root for him. I can't help it. You just have to watch the '04 250GP from Donnington and you will too. :)

These pix are different angles of only a few crashes. Is he paid to crash? In a way, yes. They all are. Crashing is a part of racing. Especially if you're trying to be competitive on equipment that isn't. He's out there on a Kawie. He's racing against Cagivas, Hondas, & Suzukis. He has to push it harder. w/less, in order to get on the podium.

I cant understand the team why they let him drive in the MotoGP, almost every race he fails, he only wrecks the bike and keeps on crashing over and over again, doesn't he learn from his mistakes? I wont do it better as him, and im not against him ore something, but he doesn't have the qualitys to drive in the MotoGP. Probaly this reaction will get some thumbs down but guys its the truth! And randy knows that to, last year he hat to fight to keep his position in the MotoGP.

I think he is fast, his problem is consistency. This year he really improved and he today he crashed out of the race for the 1st time.

As for keeping position in motoGP - everybody has to fight for a seat. Too few bikes too many riders. But he had a 2 year deal contract with LCR so his place was quite sure..
