can you tell the position of the fingers when i strum down up down up...what is the technique (i mean without a pick). Please help, i am nothing more but a neophyte.
I always use a pick when strumming cause without does not sound very good and there is no real trick to using a pick, just make sure you use one that is softer/thinner rather than harder/thicker
Thanks for your response - there are two ballads that I would love to learn. The first is Eric Clapton 'Tears in Heaven' and the second is a less known song - 'where is the love' by Celine dion. Not usually the kind of songs I'm into but these would play really nice on guitar. You are doing such a great job, keep up the good work
Tears in Heaven is quite tricky to play and would take many videos to ecplain properly so that one may be a while in coming, don't know the other song.
Awesome. This guy makes it so easy. I'm taking guitar lessons, but have trouble figuring out which strum patterns to use for every song. This guy spells it all out.
Thanks, you can request and if I know the song I may give it a go but it may take a while, sometimes if it is a good song that I don't know yet I will go and learn it when I have a spare moment
Yes Louie Louie was recorded by the Kingsman like I mentioned in the notes (although they did not write it Richard Berry did according to Wikipedia), Wild Thing was by the Troggs. Thanks for the comment, glad you liked the lesson
you're so great thanks for this and the other vids.
best tut's i've seen so far on youtube.
BEST!!! You are so easy to understand thank you :)!
I subscribed to your channel. have an excellent day.

Sorry not sure what you mean, are you talking about the hand on the neck of the guitar or the strumming hand???

the strumming hand i meant, how should i do an effective "down-up-strumming"?

I listen to it and work it out, after a while when you have learnt a few different patterns you can recognise them in other songs.

I hope you don't mind my asking, but what kind of guitar are you using in your videos? I really like the way it sounds.

The details of my gear are on my channel but it is a EM225C Maton which is an Australian hand manufactured brand which heaps of top artists use
